He is the goat of his time. I've no problem with all time but the only problem with that thinking is if a kid will only go into boxing if there is possibility he can one day be goat and you kill his dream before he even starts. How are you going to break it to the kid that no matter what he does, no1 is reserved.
    That's one superstar you lost

That's why SRR at least in my eyes would be classified in a different era.

Hell even for his era Joe Lewis has more of shot of being the GOAT then SRR because of what he did for boxing overall and the fact the he is a HW.

This is why Mayweather will never be considered GOAT over Ali and outside of America he will never be thought of higher then Pacquiao (this is mainly in Asia).

Ali and Pacquiao have transcended boxing. Mayweather hasn't.
LMAO, what do you think Ray Robinson was taking? Flintstone Vitamins?

And yeah, boxing was heavily mob related back then, which hurt Robinson and other black fighters who often times would have to take dives and got screwed over

Lamotta was the one who was mob related, not Robinson, who do you think benefited more from that?

That doesn't hurt his legacy. It helps it.

He probably got robbed a few of those times.

Joe Louis is an ATG, but he's not the GOAT HW, Ali is.

Robinson is arguably the GOAT WW, MW, and almost won the 175lb title, but passed out while winning the fight because of the 104 degree heat.
