Dana White can’t afford not to put a show on. Small change mofo out there living paycheck to paycheck; he has no choice but to sink or swim.

Damn TopRank bowing out before PBC. I was told l by many TopRank fans that PBC was done two years ago. Haymon and Floyd will end up buying TopRank

A black belt in Bjj was the lead instructor for the team on grappling and he has a pro record in mma. One day at a fight card in Humble, Tx, a shouting match ensued between him and someone who had been on our time who was no more than a white belt in BJJ and never had any fights in boxing, kickboxing, thai boxing, sanshou, savate, KF, TKD, etc etc etc. Out of nowhere while they were in each other’s faces, the novice threw a punch and flatted the “professor”....breaking his jaw, cutting him inside his mouth drawing blood, and knocking him out for several minutes before being arrested by the local police.
The moral of the story is be careful elevating people in mma as some sort of unbeatable superman. They can be knocked out like anyone else, Mercer proved that against Sylvia. You never know what someone’s true experience is, or what they have been trained to do. I can tell you that there is a segment of MAC that concentrated on the use of knives and hand held sticks based on kali-escrima. Many boxers come from backgrounds where they actually have trained in and practised kickboxing, wrestling, TKD, etc, some come from the Army, Marines etc and have training where the object is to kill you rather than make you tap out. boxers are in boxing because of the money, boxing is a poor man’s sport, mma in the USA is a rich suburbanite sport. Rarely do you see an mma gym in 5th Ward, Southpark, Acres Homes, Northshore, Homestead, Denver Harbour, etc. But you will find them in the burbs, where I live, where I paid 8 times more then I did when I was a member of a boxing gym ad an amateur.
This is all well and good, but the point still stands, an MMA fighter beats a boxer 90% of the time under practically any ruleset other than pure boxing. Or do you disagree with that?

Its a "waste of time" that would allow them to take down the worlds best boxer and stop him inside 2 minutes. A lot of MMA fighters would beat boxers even without grappling too. They'd chop their legs down with kicks or kick them in the head. They're better overall fighters than boxers and at this point their drawing power is largely equal too. So not sure how that means they're worth peanuts, the UFC is just able to pay them less because they have a monopoly on their sport.

            “Small change mofo”?
            “Living paycheck to paycheck?”

            Interesting.
Insulting Dana white the way you have. Tell us, what do you think of your own current financial status in comparison to this small change mofo?

I wonder why? Maybe Dana knows something we don't? Anyway, whenever someone new tries to get it the game, i.e. Oscar, Haymon, Schaefer, or Hearn, Bob's first instinct is to attack!

So... Unkee Bob just called out White for his b.s. of jonesin' to do a UFC card right in the midst of a pandemic... for basically being a bull-headed jerk about it. And it's funny.... ANY time you call out an idiot for his headstrong b.s.... that idiot WILL immediately come back doubling down on their ignorance. Of course we know White will never disappoint on that front. Whether you like Bob or not, you have to admit he's been making money putting on cards for longer than White has been on the planet. And White's parent company is indeed on shaky legs a bit lately. Not so with Arum's outfit. Be that as it may... we'll not see the end of brash White blabbering away for as many years as he's around.

UFC pays their fighters pennies in comparison to boxing. PPV? That is greed. UFC took away fighter sponsorship money, so the cage is now the only billboard, meaning UFC gets all the advertising money. Jon Jones, UFC champ, was just arrested and didn't even have insurance for his vehicle. Dana White is a clown that deserves the greatest beatdown

These two bickering ladies need to stay out of each other’s pocket books and figure out this pandemic. Not the time to be fighting an ego driven two front war. Anyone can weaken the business with this level of uncertainty.

Some of the fans on this site act like they have shares in Top Rank and UFC. The degree to which you guys will ride for a promoter is unexplainable. The fighters don’t go as hard for the promoters as you free employees. If you take offense I am talking to you.

If Top Rank sells don’t let it be to DAZN. The only entity where fights don’t even happen on their side of the street. We would never see any of the great fights or careers at welterweight and below.
