I think he got caught up in the moment after having a brief sliver of success. In the middle of the excitement he ended up using a dirty tactic that he was saving for later. Forced it instead of letting the perfect opportunity present itself so it was too obvious. Sort of tried hiding it in the middle of a flurry but come on.

      You guys are funny.

Ortiz head butted Mayweather because he couldn't get anything done and he needed to find a way out of the fight. He quit against Floyd. It's such a confusing fight to people who aren't students of the game.

Ortiz could have gotten up when he got knocked down. That was his way out.

So he quit moments after landing his best shot of the fight. Because we all know that’s how frustration works... You try and try to get a girls phone number and when you finally make her laugh and she starts writing the number down, you make fun of her mom and call her a hoe.

Some fighters will take the opportunity to do damage with the crown of their head, it isn't that unusual. To be that blatant, that was unusual.

He went in the fight looking to cheat but he has about as much sense as a tree...

He got frustrated and lost all subtly in his game plan. Threw down the gauntlet for a dirty fight which Mayweather picked up with 0 problems.

Lol, what are you talking about.

He landed a punch. So? It didn't bother Floyd at all. He could tell that.

              C'mon man..

Mayweather beat Ortiz up in the 4th. It was arguably the worst round yet for him. One flurry doesn't change that it was the round he took the most punishment in.

Robbed us of a fight that was getting interesting

They were both to blame. Ortiz for the dumb head butt and Floyd for the cheap shot

This was most of the 4th round. This is what Mayweather was doing to Ortiz starting in this round. Is it really a wonder why a headcase like Victor Ortiz would do something ****** to ruin the fight when this was happening to him after 3 already one-sided rounds?

Victor did the right thing in response to Mayweather's elbows and forearms to the throat. His fault was the headbutt was too obvious and he foolishly apologized. He should have used a left hook/elbow to the face instead. It might have of got missed by the referee.
