Is it fair to say MMA is more popular than Boxing in the US?

I think globally boxing still reigns for now, there are a few legitimate boxing countries that exist where boxing is one of their nations top sports.

However in the US MMA is the more popular of the two, especially with Mayweather out of the picture and the supposed savior of American Heavyweight boxing being made a fool of by a large British gypsy.

Boxing for the ol' grannies, UFC for the young studs.

Good point. Seems to me that MMA, at least in the US, is much more popular among younger people. It would follow that the future belongs to MMA.
