well Joshua or Hearn (whoever you want to blame) spent too much time trying to pretend to be Floyd and pull the A side card. Wilder and fury basically chose to say fk them and they focused on each other. Meanwhile Joshua got left out in the cold and it's his own fault. He played diva and it backfired.Comment

Lol... go you AJ fan boy!!!Wladimir Kiltschko wanted a rematch with Tyson Fury, because he believed he could beat him 'And he was highly disappointed with his performance'. Against Joshua? Kiltschko left it all inside of the ring, there was nothing more to give.
Tyson Fury did not beat up or deter Kiltschko at any point in their fight 'Joshua's performance in comparison was more emphatic and conclusive'.
Wladimir Kiltschko vs Anthony Joshua is the greatest heavyweight title fight of the past 20 years.Comment

Looking back I have to credit Joshua for showing for once good survival instincts and defensive responsibility!
Wlad actually tried to go for the kill but he couldn’t cuz he’s not in his prime anymore and AJ actually was bobbing an weaving plus moving!
AJ don’t get enough credit for surviving that hellacious missile of a right hand!Comment

I am not a Anthony Joshua fanboy, apart of me wanted Wladimir Kiltschko to win 'Wladimir Kiltschko vs Anthony Joshua is the greatest heavyweight title fight of the past 20 years'. Most boxing experts and pundits would also agree with this statement etcComment

did you ever thing Vlad might got paid not to win? you know how much money they must have invested in the PED monster? there is not a lot on money to be made with an old champ who I bet would have retired after that fight or the nextDamn right. You gotta decide who you want there for right or wrong, but getting mixed messages during the fight is a recipe for disaster.
FWIW I think many of us were puzzled by the way Wlad seemed to take his foot off the gas, but TBF I wouldn't have said at the time it was unreasonable advice from Vitali. I too thought Joshua would struggle moving all that muscle over 12 rounds, but I also think that if you got the opportunity to finish a guy you better damn well take it, cos you never know what's round the corner.Comment

It's possible, man, entirely so... I honestly don't trust anyone or anything in this sport. As much as I love it the whole things a kinda exercise in suspended disbelief for me and the more money is involved in a fight (or fighter) the less I trust it. In this case though, I don't see that Wlad really had the need, ain't like he's short a bob or two.
It's one of the reasons I prefer watching the up and comers and the smaller cards... it ain't guaranteed by any stretch, and some would say when there's less scrutiny there's even more likelihood of funny business going on, but in general I like to think that boxing's a little more honest a little lower down the pay scale.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 05-02-2020, 02:10 PM.Comment
