1st, a boxing event with no crowd is a hell of a lot better than no boxing event. I guarantee you everyone complaining about a boxing event without a crowd would have their sets tuned to a boxing ASAP for a studio fight! And boxing does have the capability to pull this off - I'll take the word of Boxing promoters over what you or I or anyone else believes on this site. If the promoters say IT AINT GOING TO HAPPEN with studio fights, then I will take their word. So far, they are seriously considering studio fights. A pay cut during these times of the Covid beats the hell out of no pay, unless the arenas are allowed to fill up soon.Last edited by richardt; 04-24-2020, 04:10 PM.Comment

Especially if large crowd sporting events are at the back of the list behind non-sports businesses, large and small, restaurants, gaming, salons, churches, and many other businesses that do not have well over five thousand people in one location. Sports in large crowds could be put off till late this year. If Arum and Loma and Lopez are okay with this, then we may see the fight in an arena - but if just one sports event that raises the coronavirus spread then it is back to non-arena sports and maybe even a worst restriction and will happen faster than someone can flip a switch.
The minute something happens , virus related , it’s back to nothing without doubtComment

I also said championship caliber fighters. Of course a debutant or guy with a 2-1 record couldn't careless. It's different for P4P talent like Lomachenko and a red hot up and comer like Lopez. Best outcome is to postpone this fight until next year.Comment

Knock off the playing dumb act. You have ZERO insight to what Lopez is being offered or how much he will make with or without a crowd, and it is obvious if he were to beat Loma, regardless of if he had to take less money, he would be a superstar with huge paydays. He gets ZERO money passing up a fight with Loma, ZERO!
And losing to Loma means he would still get big fights because he lost to one of the top 3 PFP fighters in the world. If he does not accept the fight, don't expect Arum to not sour on Lopez, ESPECIALLY if Loma wants the fight, Arum wants the fight, and the public wants the fight, regardless of crowd or not.
There is no way in hell Lopez will be comfortable with ANY scenario that leads him into foregoing a huge opportunity fighting Loma, when everyone else would be okay with the fight taking place under whatever circumstances there are. And you clearly missed the fact that Lopez was struggling bad with making 135 in 2019 so there is no way in hell would he be able to make 135 in 2021 which shows you haven't followed Lopez' weight issues. Pull your head out of your a$$.
Wake up ya moron!
It’s obvious no crowd=less money.
Ya big dumb dumb!Comment

Hey you ***ing mental midget, I already said there would be less money in the post YOU responded to! Less money is more money than no money, idiot! Get a clue if you have to beg, borrow, or steal one!Last edited by richardt; 04-24-2020, 04:09 PM.Comment

Arum has not had either guy sign a contract so there are no contract stipulations, ergo, no site chosen, and no other details outside of common chatter. None of the financials have been laid out and agreed upon yet. And that's the reason why Lopez is trying to call the shots since everything is in limbo at this time. And that means if another top fighter raises his hand and says "I'll fight Loma without a crowd", Lopez will lose out on the payday at no fault other than his own, and another fighter will get the payday because Lom is willing to fight with a small crowd or no crowd.Comment
