This has got to be a joke, even for the WBC. So Fortuna was the mandatory, and was scheduled to face Campbell since Haney couldn't meet his obligation. However, due to coronavirus:

    -The WBC reinstates Haney
-Haney lost his title due to not fighting Fortuna, but now he's granted an optional defence when he does come back?
-Fortuna, the established mandatory, has to fight Campbell in a ****ing eliminator to get his shot??

    Can't make this shit up.

          Devin Haney persistent paid off.

Devin Haney in a sense have luck. He have a voluntary defence that we all know is going to be easy, while Javier Fortuna vs Luke Campell fight a hard fight between then. Then, Devin Haney is going to fight the winner while refresh for his easy fight and the winner of Javier Fortuna vs Luke Campell not are going to enter the fight with Devin Haney fresh like him. If the fight is 5 to 6 month apart, then the winner of Fortuna vs Luke are going to enter fresh against Devin Haney.

-Haney was the mandatory, actually. To Lomachenko.

-Since Lomachenko's team swerved away from that and requested Franchise Champion status they dropped the belt. The WBC then named Haney the champ.

-The only reason the belt was vacated after that was because Haney had medical issues and wouldn't be able to defend within the required timetable...but once the Coronavirus hit that postponed everybody's timetable.

-Haney is healthy now AND able to defend. There is no reason to have to vacate so it is fair that the belt is given back to him.

Fortuna was offered a title shot against Haney as soon as the lockdown makes it possible.

He said he stills wants to fight Campbell first so that is his choice.

Don't see a problem with Haney's reinstatement but surely he should have been ordered to fight his mandatory, which was Fortuna. Unless of course Fortuna and Campbell have already exchanged contracts to fight each other?

Fortuna still wants to fight Campbell first. So that's on him.

There is some logic in this decision, but if he is healthy and can and want to fight just about anyone WBC should order a title defence, top 10 guy, not some voluntary bull****
