Larry Merchants calls Wilder the "Last Black Hope"

This coward a$$ “just leave race out of it” talking point is only used to maintain the status quo. America and western society as a whole is built on white supremacy. There’s no “leaving color out of it” because these societies are built on race and racism. Of course people part of the oppressor class don’t want to talk about race because the system is set up to their benefit.

Boom. Many just want to move comfortably within the institution of white supremacy and not challenge it or the people that practice and leverage it for tangible benefits.

With that being said, Haney didn't need to say that and he's definitely feeling the backlash of it but to equate it with Larry Merchant saying "The Last Black Hope" is a false equivalency and lacks historical context.
