There is no best physique for boxing, because physique has nothing to do with it

      Right on, Brother.

You either can fight or you can't.

      Straight the **** up.

The correct answer is Sugar Ray Robinson.

5'11" with a long reach and proportioned in a way that made him equally destructive at 147 & 160

And almost won the 175lb. title and was ahead on all cards, but 103 degree weather made him pass out in his corner towards the end of the fight

If he had come along years later, he would've ruled from 147-175 easy.

Long arms and shorter torso makes it easier to protect the body

Huge frame allowed him to put on weight and jump up five weight classes without being dwarfed

Hearns was a nightmare. Imagine if he had an iron chin also. An unbeatable fighter
Totally agree. If Hearns would have had a good chin, he would be remembered as the best fighter that ever lived.

Norton Hagler and Mike Weaver physiques.
Hearns but no legs, Robinson Hagler, had reach and legs regarding physiques for boxing

I'm lucky to say not only did I meet my favorite all-time fighter in Leonard, but when I met him, he drew a picture of a glove, and inside the glove was a smiley and inside the smiley was his autograph. Best autograph ever. And I exchanged a couple emails with him about 10 years ago. A friend of mine who was a boxer who knew him gave me his personal email address. My friend knew I wouldn't abuse that privilege by sending him more than 2-3 emails. I also got a great email from Aaron Pryor's wife regarding some questions I have about Leonard and Aaron. I hope his wife held it together after Pryor passed. Pryor found spirituality many years before and was a great guy.

I hope his wife held it together after Pryor passed. Pryor found spirituality many years before and was a great guy. I did get Arguello's signature. He used his left hand since his right was in a cast at the time. He and Pryor are hanging out above right now. I'm certain of that.

You need solid abs to take body shots. Also the glutes are often neglected, they are a key source for generating punching power.

I performed a 30 minute review of my collection and it appears that David Haye has the best equipped boxers physique.
