I honestly think Froch would’ve beaten Calzaghe

I’m not even a Froch fan and I think he was a one-dimensional, overrated boxer. But the same can be said about Calzaghe in terms of being overrated. But Calzaghe was a volume puncher while Froch had ring adaptability with a very durable chin.

I just think Froch’s durability and awkwardness would’ve caused Calzaghe a lot of problems and he would punch himself out with Froch sparking him out with a big right like he did to Groves.

Calzaghe wasn’t the inside fight that Ward was. Ward was a bull on the inside and he bullied Froch and made him confused. Calzaghe was more of volume boxer with good hand speed.

Carl Froch was not a one dimensional fighter 'He out boxed Groves in their rematch'.

Froch would have to stop Calzaghe, as Calzaghe's speed and athleticism may just be too much to win rounds against. Carl Froch seemed to have the ability to break a fighters resistance 'That is exactly what he would have to do against Joe Cazlaghe'.

Note: Carl Froch's jab is very underrated, but I doubt he would be focusing on using it much up against Calzaghe.

true, ward stayed out of frochs hit zone too and froch was powerless a lot of the time, i could just see faster calzaghe landing lots and lots of shots on froch and maybe froch dropping him if he got lucky

I don’t know what fight you watched but Groves outboxed Froch in both fights...esp the 2nd before the KO. The KO came out of nowhere and Groves was winning the exchanges and the fight.

Froch was very durable and I believe Calzaghe would’ve punched himself out.

It would have been an interesting match up but I just rate Calzaghe so highly that it would be hard for me to pick Froch. I just think he is better and does enough to win a decision. Ward and Calzaghe fight differently and as mentioned, Ward pretty much just had his way on the inside in a way that Calzaghe wouldn't. But Calzaghe threw with more volume and I would be curious to see if that would have worked as effectively against someone like Froch? I still think of bit faded Taylor winnings rounds off of Froch and think Calzaghe can do that and then some while staying on his feet for 12 rounds. Calzaghe was one tough son of a gun.

I don't see it. Joe would have been too fast for him. It would be a competitive fight, but I would pick Joe by UD.
