Just rewatched both ggg vs canelo fights

The 2nd fight i had Canelo winning but i would have preferred a draw tbh.

I thought Golovkin won both but if you gave the second to Canelo or called it a draw, I'm cool with that.

Canelo won both fights, clean effective punching, landed the harder cleaner shots. Second fight GGG ran like a girl all night from the smaller man.

Only way I can see anyone getting to 6 rounds for Canelo in either fight is to not score a lot of GGG's work...I usually watch and score without commentary, and GGG just outworked Canelo in both fights.

With commentary, the different broadcasts I've watched seemed to have the same approach...fawn over the good work Canelo did in spurts, and then when GGG responds with about 5 unanswered shots, they are still talking about Canelo lol...and then when Canelo inevitably lands again, the cycle continues.

When you outland a dude by 30+ punches, and outland him in 2/3rds + rounds, and you are each hitting each other about as hard as one another...and no one gets hurt/dropped.

I mean how can anyone say that guy wasn't in the fight lol...idk just weird...I don't really care, but to see a few guys itt saying GGG 'clearly' lost fight 2, lol...I mean wut.

Personally it seems like maybe those who don't really like Canelo or GGG like to split those fights...since it kind of slights both guys in that way...to be fair though there are some who like Canelo who split both (though anyone who has Canelo truly up 2-0 or even 1-0-1 is nuts, no offense), and some even who like GGG who say the 2nd fight was fairly close.

And Canelo was definitely better in the 2nd fight...but his problem vs GGG is GGG is considerably more active than him...so even when Canelo does great work in spurts, he is getting outworked usually the rest of the round, and you have to score GGG's work too.

Yeah, I feel benavidez passes the eye test but is largely unproven against someone on canelos level skill and experience wise man.

Better him than any of the other guys
