I mean the Atlas version today is just an annoying hateful prick. Jesus Christ. Whenever something doesn’t go his way such as a fighter hiring him as a coach he just foul mouths everyone.

Why couldn’t the person who scarred his face finish the job?

I’d say he has become the grandpa who you shouldn’t take too seriously. Just say “sure thing, gramps” and move on with your day. I wouldn’t insult the guy because he was pretty good once upon a time. He may even still know a thing or two he can share if he stopped trashing everyone and focused on one guy.

I don't like him all that much either, I think he's got a fantastic way of spinning a pretty phrase, and as a trainer he was a great motivator, but as a commentator he rarely says much of substance and is frequently wrong in a big way. He gets way more respect as a pundit than I think he really deserves.

That said, just because I think he's a lousy pundit doesn't mean I want the guy to get killed or think he's "cancer." Maybe you need to calm down a little if that's really the way you think, OP.

I don’t even associate Atlas with Tyson. His impact was so minuscule that I often forget they even knew one another. The fighter who I feel Atlas really helped was Moorer. That was one negative guy who needed someone like Atlas in his corner.

The man is totally obsessed with Mike Tyson. He said that Mike Tyson record is really 0-6 for crying out loud.

He has discredited all of Iron Mike's wins because in his words the fighters were not prepared to fight. Therefore, all those victories didn't count. It's a shame that after all these years he can't let go of the resentment.

Tyson still lives in his head rent-free.
