Teddy’s upset that Ruiz didn’t come a knockin’. Ruiz can still be successful without him if he really wants to be. Atlas is not the end all and be all of trainers or perfection.

Ruiz would’ve put himself through an ordeal where Atlas (with his psychological theatrics) would’ve relished hogging center stage at the expense of private nurtured mental & physical training.

Atlas would’ve been like “look at me, look at me, look at what I’m doing, this is my friggin point of view.....in 1983 I....” And if things don’t turn out right? “I don’t know what to tell you about this kid, I tried to worked with the kid, I tried, but he’s not willing to go that extra mile!”

With Teddy you have to wonder: Is he in it to genuinely help, or has he reached that stage with his celebrity that he’s content in creating a circus that’ll distract from the true task at hand.

Why not “see” Ruiz winning in the rematch if he came in fit? Why not envision your potential student winning? He can if he wanted to - things can be seen from ANY perspective...

      Joshua Leaves Questions

The Joshua-Ruiz drama was two strange fights that leave me confused. Joshua looked spooked in Fight One, Ruiz had the night of his life, Joshua said nothing about what was going on with him. Fight Two, with Joshua coming out of a long hibernation of training, he boxed, moved a bit, stayed away without running, and won a landslide without landing a significant punch. Weight on Ruiz? Skill or fear from Joshua? Who knows? Remember Roy Jones Jr. after the Montel Griffin DQ? Or Antonio Tarver after what he believed was a robbery against Roy Jones Jr.? That's what desire looks like after a loss. AJ is a great human being, a thoughtful, authentic, respectful dude. He didn't even get after Jarrell Miller when the out-of-line loudmouth tested positive for PEDs. AJ still speaks well of Dillian Whyte, who insults AJ in the worst ways every time the subject comes up. He's too cerebral, too much in his head to beat a madman like Tyson Fury; he'd go down from a Wilder right hand and Dillian Whyte would take him out at this point. AJ's big moment was against Klitschko -- now he's a wealthy and popular man who will have a great career post-boxing if he doesn't hang on too long and end up in an embarrassing verbal battle with Fury, Wilder and Whyte.

Teddy, stop being a sour betch. It was clear that it was the weight why andy ruiz got outboxed from the outside, he was too fat hence too heavy and slow his feet to get on the inside , he was in shape for the 1st fight and look at what happened

How is a morbidly obese guy supposed to move his feet effectively to cut off the ring?

And how big was that ring in Saudi Arabia, by the way? Anyone know the dimensions?

Teddy is wrong 50% of the time and this is one of them but of course if you trained him he would have won right Teddy

Agree with Atlas. Joshua got clipped because he tried to walk in and KO Ruiz. And we've seen the rematch a million times: the guy who tried to walk in and get the KO but got clipped instead boxing for 12 boring rounds to get the titles back in the rematch.

A third fight will look exactly the same, no matter what shape Ruiz is in.

You guys hate Teddy Atlas for whatever reason, but he is right and you know he is. Ruiz does not have a champions mentality and that's why he didn't train or be aggressive in the rematch. He has some of the tools, but discipline is not one of them obviously haha. I know a lot of you idiots want to say that AJ ran in the rematch, but again, tell me how you run from someone and yet you out land on them by 2 to 1???? you guys are seeing what you want to see in the fight and then turn right around and say that Tyson Fury's fights are the "sweet science" hahahah. The point is, get over yourselves and pray to God that we start to get the big fights now that Wilder isn't holding that belt hostage any more.

Teddy is correct, If you can't first admit a mistake there is nothing to fix.

You are entitled to make silly comments, that's cool.

"Ruiz can still be successful without him." Obviously 15 million wasn't enough motivation to be successful. Ruiz is done.
