Tyson is live with anyone ever for the first 4 rounds. Doesnt matter who you are. After that , tyson simply fights you and is live but there is no gameplan after 4 rounds .

Thats the difference. , Frazier didnt come in trying to knock you as a gameplan. He came in to each fight expecting to chop wood and bring you down to size by mauling you , body shots , clinching and roughing you up,throw lunging hooks . His gameplan was to overwhelm you wear you out and take you to deep waters.

And i disagree. Ali was a real heavyweight and he would box everyones ears off today except fury. That would be an even fight. Ali is faster and just as skilled but fury has height and reach and both are tough as nails and rhe charisma of both fighter is top notch

What about Lewis and Holyfield, who both beat Tyson, and were also past their prime when they beat him? Them against Ali also interesting. Was a prime Tyson better than Frazier? Yes, that could be said to be true, at least for the first half of a fight, the world hadn't seen anyone so ferocious, aggressive and quick in the first few rounds. Dempsey was quite wild as well, although not as precise as Tyson.

Good points, except that the Tyson who fought Lewis was not "past his prime", he was past his earthly life. Lewis fought a drugged corpse that night, and still it took eight rounds for him to knock that corpse out.

I lean towards Ali but it's no foregone conclusion.
Ali was always troubled by left hooks and looping rights, both of which Tyson threw very well. Added to his head movement, footwork and combination punching, you're taking about a live animal in there.

However, if Mike hasn't got him out of there by the sixth, I'd expect Ali to take over.

Tyson never beat anyone as great as a prime Ali.

Ali on the otherhand, has beaten a fighter better than Tyson, and that is prime George Foreman.

Not saying Ali beats Tyson due to this, just throwing that out there.

Ali is also greater than anyone Tyson fought, and is 100x the boxer that Douglas was.

Bum rushing opponents in boxing is something you can get away with against certain level of fighters. This bulldozing style of Tyson did not work against Douglas, Holyfield, Lewis.

It is very difficult to just rush someone who knows how to box, move and knows what they’re doing. This is what people picture when they think about Tyson in fantasy fights. His 1-3 round destructions of HW’s, and they envision Ali suffering the same fate. Ali clearly had a high ring IQ and you can’t just rush into this guy. He will be ready to go 15 rounds and move around for all 15 rounds.

With that said I will not pretend to have a winner, I really don’t know who would win and don’t have a pick. It’s not easy fantasy fight.

True that was a way past prime Tyson but Lewis was 37 years old himself and fought only one more time after that. He was past his best too but retired with a good string of wins in his last 5 fights going 4-1 vs Tua, Rahman, Tyson, and Vitali.

If you’re talking about primes, you have to put prime Lewis in there as well, not just prime Tyson.

Sure. I was only pointing out that Tyson should not be considered among Lewis' highlights. But Lennox definitely earned his marks with previous performances.

Ultimately, the fact that he took so much to dispose of that version of Tyson is a sign of what was to come against Klitschko.

Peak Ali and peak Tyson weren't far apart in weight and Ali beat guys heavier than Tyson so why does Ali need to be "bulked up" by Joshua?

I can comprehend what AJ says. He’s a simpleton who no one has trouble understanding. He’s simply wrong and picking apart his logic would be child’s play for me so I’ll leave it to the next guy. And if you want to call hoping Ruiz eats himself out of the title making an adjustment, then okay.

Oh dear this clown again, the only topic he should be commenting on is the topic he's lived his whole boxing career and that's ducking. Got smashed by fat boy then decided to run from him in the second fight. This dude is a coward why post about his silly opinions?!
