Because he'll probably be paid well and thinks Wilder is beatable. Whyte is the one heavyweight and one of the few boxers in the sport who doesn't coast when he's in a mandatory position. He could have beaten a bunch of powder puffs while he was mandatory but he's been fighting the better guys available in his division when he can. Much respect for that dude. He's the most deserving of a title shot in the sport right now.

F Eddie Hearn! He didn’t know what step aside money meant when AJ chose to fight Povetkin instead of wilder. Or when AJ got beat up by Ruiz. Now he knows what step aside money mean. Lol F Hearn and Dillian Whyte to for good measure!Comment

You're right but it's unfair, especially when he's earned his shot at a title.Because he'll probably be paid well and thinks Wilder is beatable. Where was Hearn with his step aside offer when Ruiz beat AJ? I didn't hear nor see him make an attempt for Wilder/Ruiz to happen. Plus AJ has two mandos, one which is signed in Pulev and Im pretty sure there is a rematch clause in the contract. Then there is the WBO mando. So its just Hearn yapping.Comment

For Real!!! Where was all this after June 7th when AJ knocked AJ senseless? There was no "Im going to offer AJ step aside money to make Wilder/Ruiz happen". What a guyComment

I agree this has "best case scenario" written all over it for Wilder. But it has to be phrased publicly in a way that saves face for him. Say what you want about Wilder, but I do believe 100% he would rather take another beating than look like he is ducking.
my guess this is "pie in the sky" thinking, and Fury/Wilder 3 happens.Comment

You mean, that time when Hearn got a total of about 7 weeks in extensions from the WBA for their deadline with Povetkin in order to negotiate a deal with Wilder? You know, that time when Finkle was taking a week at a time to respond to emails and relayed a message to Hearn through the media (not directly to Hearn) saying “we’ve received the contract (on Sunday), we’ll get back to Hearn with our ‘comments’ on Friday (five days later LOL)”
Hearn talks a lot of shyt, granted, but at least he actually attempts to enter into negotiations and sends out contracts instead of using stalling tactics to make the opposite team look bad or sending “offers” with no terms, refusing any requests for meetings or phone calls and refusing to negotiate (Finkle).
And I’m not quite sure you fully grasp the concept of step aside money...who was he supposed to offer step aside money to after AJ v Ruiz 1? AJ? LolComment

Again, I think you’re another one that doesn’t quite grasp the concept of step aside money. Are you saying that after AJ v Ruiz 1...Hearn should have offered AJ step aside money to make Wilder v Ruiz? Two guys that he has nothing to do with? What? LolWhere was Hearn with his step aside offer when Ruiz beat AJ? I didn't hear nor see him make an attempt for Wilder/Ruiz to happen. Plus AJ has two mandos, one which is signed in Pulev and Im pretty sure there is a rematch clause in the contract. Then there is the WBO mando. So its just Hearn yapping.
And in regards to the WBO mandatory, I’m almost certain that all four sanctioning bodies (definitely the WBA and WBC) give precedence to unifications over mandatories. Meaning, if Wilder accepted step aside money, the WBO would allow Fury v AJ over AJ v Usyk.Comment
