Comments Thread For: Froch: Joshua Beating Wilder Will Make Fury Fight Even Bigger

Former world champion and Sky Sports pundit Carl Froch would still like to see a fight between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder. Back in February, Wilder lost his WBC world title when he was stopped in seven rounds by Tyson Fury in their Las Vegas rematch. Joshua was stopped in seven rounds by Andy Ruiz in June 2019, but dominated the December rematch for a twelve round unanimous decision win.

This guy is an idiot. Where would they slot Wilder in with all the mandatories piling up?

Fcck Wilder. AJ vs Fury is what the world wants.

AJ fighting Wilder will just make it look like AJ only fight threats after fury beats think a la Klitschko. Joshua would just continue to look like an opportunist with this strategy

As a boxing fan no matter who you root for the world should wanna see AJ vs Wilder. All the crap that's been talked and the hype for that fight will leave entirely too many questions unanswered in a sport that's full of those. I know I wanna see it eventually just to find out who the better man is.

Wait, didn't Wilder already turn down $100 million from Hearn for a three fight deal which included Joshua? He'll likely never get an offer like that again, especially since the draw and devastating loss to Fury. Wilder will fight Fury again before he gets another offer to fight Joshua and if he loses, he'll be all but done. He'll then be free to pursue a career in modeling Halloween costumes.

When Joshua beats the snot out of wilder people would just say wilder was never the same after the fury fight. I don't think wilder has any business at world level at the moment, I'm not sure I'd bet on him against Charles martin or helenius at this moment. He's been exposed, he's mentally broken and fighters now know he's not got a chin.

wait didn’t AJ ask for 50 million to fight wilder then turned it down? Wilder was not going to be owned by DAZN much like DAZN is trying to run Canelo’s.
