I agree, the man has family to feed, but if this causes loss of income, who's at fault? All he has to do is quit being the clown. How hard is that?

Like I say, I seen the results of domestic violence up close and personal, heard the screams, seen the blood.

Thing is I get it, there's none of us not wanted to lay one on our partners at some point and done in the right way it might have been funny. Mighta been something most women could appreciate too, even, cos I know full well Ms K woulda just loved to lay me out on plenty of occasions. But it wasn't. Least not the way I saw it. You or MulaKO could probably make the same sorta joke to me and I'd know the spirit in which to take it, a cunt like Saunders with a history of misogynist bullying behaviour and it takes on a whole different tone.

That said, I ain't necessarily an advocate of this being the responsibility of the sports authorities - the BBBoC or the WBC or whatever, however tasteless. It's not my feeling that moral stewardship is really part of their remit.
What are you referring to there?

Misogyny is teasing and stringing along a crack whore, offering drugs for a sex act especially when having no intent of following through - ie just to torment and humiliate her - and saying women are for 'cooking cleaning and sex'..

Andy Lee’s upcoming opponent has made some outrageous comments about Katie Taylor and women’s boxing.

          - bullying - pretending to be a police officer to order and intimidate a man into striping naked, releasing audio of himself demanding another man apologise after Saunders screwed his missus. Most his pranks have an element of humiliation or cruelty about 'em, especially filming 'em to make the victims embarrassment public.

Also read a report on here that he was toying with a female reporter, sparring in a way that was calculated to make her uncomfortable, tagging her ass, t1ts, whatever, but I ain't seen that one so I ain't wanting to comment.

          That enough..

That episode was an example of BJS behaving like a crass, insensitive oaf, which is what he is. But misogyny? With respect, describing that strung out woman he was messing around with as a "crack whore" is more misogynistic than what BJS did.

Again, that's not misogyny. A lot of men don't agree with women boxing, and at least 2 pro male boxers, Tyson Fury and Kovalev, have come out and publicly said the same things BJS said there. Now Kovalev may be both a misogynist and a woman beater, but I don't believe Fury is either.

Boxing is such a traditionally male sport, and deeply rooted in "machismo" People should remember that and give some leeway to male boxers who don't like the idea of females doing it. They don't like women boxing, but that doesn't mean they hate women, which is the definition of misogyny.

Those are more examples of BJS's crass oafishness, rather than misogyny.

I've seen the sparring video you're talking about. The female reporter was Michelle Joy Phelps, from Behind The Gloves and IFL. She had this thing going of sparring with boxers after interviewing them in their gym, and I think it was Michelle who asked BJS to spar with her, if I remember rightly.

I like Michelle, because she a genuine boxing fan and knows her stuff. But she is also a very flirtatious lady who seems to enjoy behaving in quite an exaggeratedly feminine manner around macho boxers like BJS and Fury. It looked like she was doing that while sparring with BJS .. you know, squealing and turning her back when he pretended to attack her, telling him not to be too rough ... "Stop, stop, you're scaring me Billy!" He was bullying her around the ring and throwing lots of pitty-patty punches, including at her ass when she turned her back in him.

I know they are friends and it looked like a male/female playfight, till she jumped out of the ring and teared up a bit. They hugged and carried on with the interview afterwards, with no hard feelings from Michelle, who is a good sport and seems to genuinely like BJS.

I've had some experience of woman beaters during my life. I don't want to go into it here, but I will say that none of them were rough, macho, loutish types like BJS. On the contrary, they were all well mannered, polite guys, the kind of guys that you would never, ever suspect of beating their wives/girlfriends up behind closed doors.

People need to keep a sense of perspective about this. BJS filmed himself hitting a punch bag, not a woman.
