I believe combat sports is in a peace time rn. But Dana has made some off color comments about boxing lately where it wasn't warranted and completely hypocritical.
For one he said "we don't do that ***** in the UFC.." referring to Furys walk out and showmanship. Well what a load of nonsense. 9 times out 10, when I see a UFC card, the fighters over sell themselves like a circus act. Like they are just employees and not independent contractors for the UFC.
Now this garbage about boxing going extinct. Buddy better pipe down and divest out having any relationship with boxing because the sport is going to expose UFC for the bottom of the barrel frauds that it a lot of the times is.

I don't like ufc, don't order their ppvs but... Ufc has surpassed boxing in terms of popularity in the US. Boxing took the ultimate L when they made Canelo and kovalev sit on a sofa in their locker rooms gloved up like b***hes for 90 min waiting for a ufc event to finish before they were allowed to make their ring walk.

The majority in the USA prefers Ufc to boxing due to social and ethnic reasons. There are no boxing gyms in the subburbs....where Mma gyms abound

Dana's right about one thing. There must be one title per weight class. Has to be no argument about who is champion. It is too hard to consistently draw fans based on the fighter's style and personality. Floyd is an anomaly. People have to want to come for the title.
