De La Hoya has fought better opposition, but he lost to half of the great fighters he fought

Morales comes closest, having fought Hernandez and Chavez as well as Barrera three times and Pacquiao twice, but out of those particular 5 fights, he lost 3
    Throw in Genaro Hernandez.

I didn't want to put Manfredy in because Mayweather dusted him so easily and so did Corrales. Morales actually struggled with Hernandez and Chavez whereas Mayweather didn't nearly as much.

Didn't Hatton say he came to the US to make the big fights? We're still waiting...

we're going to keep waiting, he never had any intentions on fighting Floyd anyways, he got no intentions on fighting anybody who can move and box or punch. IMO, Hatton aint even a boxer, he a wrestler, Ric Flair nephew!!

Hatton is looking for a winnable fight. After the way Ben Rabah made Urango look in their last fight, I don't blame Hatton for looking for a lame-duck or tomato can. He'll play it off saying he wants his title back when, in reality, he's avoiding the rematch with Collazo, the fight with Urkal, or the potential of a Mayweather fight. He's safer at 140 where the competition is soft since all good Jr. Welters have moved up to 147.

that's a load of bollocks - why the hell would he be scard of Urkal? He won't take that fight cos it's not a big fight.

Mayweather is hardly making any noise about facing Hatton, either is he. He's in negotiations to fight Baldomir. The fight will happen by this time next year.

Til then Urango's not a terrible fight.

I don't have a big problem with the fight although I think Hatton will win easily it should be exciting while it lasts. On the other hand the reason Mayweather isn't mentioning Hatton is because he knows Hatton has no intention of fighting him right now. His team says he isn't ready and when they started negotiations Hatton asked for 13 million guaranteed. If I have ever heard of pricing yourself out of a fight that is it.

Where did you hear that? i dont really believe that to be honest pal.

Hatton vs Mayeather will happen by September 2007 unless Floyd doesnt want it.

And BTW, i think Floyd wins fairly easily.

I heard it recently but I forget where. Maybe it wasn't accurate, but clearly Hatton does not want the fight now. Mayweather definitely wanted to fight after Gatti but Hatton's handlers didn't want him to. I agree the fight will happen eventually I said that earlier and I am not in any way accusing Hatton of ducking. Hatton is just managing his career and when the time is right the fight will happen. That is professional boxing for you. And I agree that Mayweather wins fairly easily as well.

What exactly makes Urango a better fight than Urkal?
