It isn't even a question. Fury is the best heavyweight until proven otherwise. I'm not saying Joshua can't or wouldn't beat him, but Fury beating Wilder and Joshua's loss to Ruiz, even being avenged, pretty easily puts Fury in the top spot for now.

TBRB
Champ Fury, #1 Joshua, #2 Wilder
Boxrec
Champ Vacant, #1 Joshua, #2 Fury
(Wilder #5)
The Ring
Champ Fury, #1 Joshua, #2 Whyte
(Wilder #3)
Personally I'm with Boxrec on the vacant title, you can pick 'em between Joshua's resume or Fury's highlight wins for #1.
Let's hope the fight happens ASAP.Comment

Joshua ahead of the ***** at the moment based on defences of the titles alone.
Whilst many of us wanted and expected wilder to knock the diddycoy out, he got kod which is no real surprise.
The surprise was AJ getting kod by a fat bloke from the pub. However, he defended the titles against good opponents and kod the klit whereas the ***** could only fack around for 12 of the most boring rounds of heavyweight boxing ever to win...zzzzz
He has a single notable win and that was the wilder ko and well done it, BUT, three or four more fights with credible opponents (like AJ) and then we can judge, in the mean time Carl, don’t talk like a carnt, ya English FFS.Comment

Joshua holds all but 1 title, Fury got the other, wilder got nothing. Joshua lost to Ruiz but then Joshua beat ruiz, avenged the loss. Wilder did not avenge his los,,,, sorry draw.DaKid got owned
Not his fault , he’s an old senile man
His family is just waiting for him to go
He seems to forget chit , even when there’s one in his diaper
DaKid is just a fan of Eddie Hearn , he’s not into boxing
Agrees with every Tom **** and Harry who loves AJ
Not his fault , go easy on him
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Fury 1, Joshua 2. I don't see how I am being ridiculous here.Comment

That's cool it's all on opinion and means nothing anyway. You don't agree with aspects of my opinion and are throwing me food for thought. I respect that. I think your a blind wilder fan boy sheep moron who has a hatred for anything Joshua, hearn or Matchroom is the the devil but that's because you have been brain washed by some goons on YouTube which where your boxing opinion is fed to you.DaNeutral... Well not so much...
Yep so AJ is going to have to earn it. He can get #1 by fighting Tyson Fury. He can get #2 by fighting Deontay Wilder. However what he will not do is float past competition because Hearn Bots are lobbying and campaigning for better position.
But thanks for sharing it.Last edited by DaNeutral.; 03-28-2020, 02:58 PM.Comment

BoxRec is just a points-based ranking system, it doesn’t designate a champion. Their #1 is literally that, they’re saying AJ is the number 1 heavyweight.TBRB

If you’re looking at it from BoxRec’s points-based, objective (unbiased) system, then AJ is undoubtedly number one; he’s quite simply beat more highly ranked opponents than anybody. It’s the least subjective ranking system there is so for anybody thinking logically, that one holds the most weight.
The Ring and TBRB are subjective based rankings; they have meetings to decide who they believe should be ranked where.
I agree with you though, the absolute consensus number 1 spot is vacant and to be decided by the winners of Wilder v Fury and AJ v Pulev (which will be AJ v Fury lol) facing off. But until then, if you’re going off opponents beat (which is how it should actually work), then it should logically be,
#1 vacant
#2 AJ
#3 Fury
#4/5 between Whyte and Wilder
Because let’s be honest, Whyte’s wins over Parker and Rivas are inarguably on par with Wilder’s only two decent wins against Ortiz, so it’s a toss up.Comment

That’s the problem for me, Fury has unconvingly beaten average opposition.
Against the common opponents Joshua has the edge (knocking out rather than going to points).
Clearly fury is talented, no one questions that - but for me Joshua has just done a hell of a lot more as it stands.
Common opponents I’m aware of:
Klitschko - fury points / Joshua KO R11
Kevin Johnson - Fury points - Joshua KO R2Last edited by Kezzer; 03-28-2020, 04:08 PM.Comment
