But we don't know who is #2 between Joshua and Wilder. They both took bad losses recently and would have to settle it in the ring.
One lost to the clear #1 tho.

The other lost to what was supposed to be a stay-busy opponent. In worse fashion too, I'd say.

Yes I have to agree with Froch. I'm a big fan of both fighters and joshua holds all but 1 of the world titles as well as having a better resume but Fury beat the fresher Wlad and has done Wilder over twice, in 2 different ways.

These 2 sit at the top of the division which ever way you look at it, ring or lineal or by physical world titles or fan power or what ever. But fury is unbeaten, Joshua isn't, aswell as the wlad and wilder wins. Fury gotta be seen as number 1

What does it matter anyway. Only 1 way to really settle it isn't there and it isn't by throwing out comparisons on a forum.

Fair point. Wilder's only loss came to the best heavyweight in the world.

Joshua's loss came to a fat guy who took the fight on short notice.

No argument that Fury is indeed #1. However Fury winning the second fight does negate the draw of the first fight.
The implication that Fury won them both is simply a non-factual statement backed up by a billion points of evidence.

Lol... DaNeutral loves his magical Dr. Who phone booth. Will gladly go back in time when Anthony Joshua was indeed the number one Heavyweight.

In his mind, the Vlad win is forever the reason why AJ can't EVER drop in ranking. Some how Vlad is the only fighter that matters in the universe. I guess if Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster were to come out of retirement, they would automatically be crowned number one and number two by DaNeutral.

But as we sanely get back to the future, we have to remind DaNeutral that Anthony Joshua lost to the #7 HW in Ruiz. Even after his redemption stick and run track meet victory AJ was considered the #3 Heavyweight. Since then he has not even fought anyone. So if Fury and Wilder were fighting for universally recognized Heavyweights #1 & #2, what changed for AJ to now be the #2 fighter? We will wait for an answer...

Yep so AJ is going to have to earn it. He can get #1 by fighting Tyson Fury. He can get #2 by fighting Deontay Wilder. However what he will not do is float past competition because Hearn Bots are lobbying and campaigning for better position.
