Wlad was closer to his prime than Hopkins. But that fight was one of the worst HW title fights of all time. Second only to Ruiz/Rahman.

Gotta give this one to the woman-puncher, Sergey Kovalev.
True, Hopkins was basically a shell of himself that night, but at least he showed up to fight and take an L if he had to.
In my 33 years of watching boxing, I don't know that I have ever seen a more shameful performance than Wladamiir Klitschko vs Tyson Fury.......or a more terrible fight to sit through for 12 rounds than that.
Both fighters looked to timid, hesitant, and afraid to throw punches. Klitschko in particular looked as though it was his first day on the job, like he had forgotten all about how to fight and throw punches.
For Furys part, he looked afraid to capitalize on any of Wlads hesitation. Just to big guys circling each others for 12 rounds, I am mad still to this day that was an hour of my life that I will never have back.
Say what you like about Deontay Wilder, but at least his fans know he would never do that to them. Win or lose, he will go out swinging, and that's all anyone could ever ask
