Canelo is the most boring "face of boxing" ever.

I find him boring as well. Fights at the same pace from start to end of fights. No smelling of blood. No second gear. No urgency at all. Then he always slows down near the end.I mean danm, this guy is just boring in and out of the ring.
In the ring hes not a great brawler like mosley, chavez, or hagler and hes not a great technician like loma, froid or marquez. He only looks great when he fights guys hes suppose to beat. Then when he fights the top guys he looks about as average as average can be.
Also theres no risk. I mean how the hell can anybody get excited over a canelo fight knowing the other guy has no chance on the scorecards?
Outside the ring as well, the 24/7, all acces and the dazn one talk about the same thing. Him being red headed, loving horses and just hype. Hes about as interesting as crawford.
Canelo is boring af. No great performances agaisnt top guys and impossible to get a fair shake.
But yup he’s a good all rounder. Great upper body movement. Phenomenal chin. Combined that with bias judging more often than not, then he’s really hard to beat.
Canelo is really good, but yup boring and uninteresting.Comment

I don't know: I'm not a big Canelo fan, but he is an outstanding fighter who always brings his A game. He was out-classed by Floyd, and would have been knocked out by a younger GGG, but he has many great victories, and I wouldn't call him boringComment

I never watch any of his interviews. I’d rather listen to my brain dead neighbour talk about the weather or some ant hill he’s contending with. Has the personality of a rock.
Wouldn’t call his fights boring. I’d meet ya half way, tho, and say he’s winning every fight on the cards before the first bell has even rang. That part is complete bullchit.Theres just no risk with him. He took years to fight golovkin, got a gift against lara, and another against golovkin twice.
With his fights against golovkin (rematch), jacobs, kovalev and his upcoming fight against bjs theres no risk. Canelo could lose every danm round and still get the decision. I even caught myself saying "they just have to make canelo look bad cause they're not winning a decision". Like wtf, thats not good for boxing when you know theres a guy who cant possibly lose a fight even if he gets outboxed.
Also hes an arrogant prick and his ret@rd fans who make it seem like he clearly won or dominated a fight despite everyone knowing it was a cherrypick or a giftComment

Arrows are jumping over minutemaid and landing two posts up
You won’t get much of an argument from me. The way his fans think he’s the good guy is beyond me. He’s a villain.
And I agree with an earlier poster who basically said he’s too composed. There is no fire in him like all the greats had. Sorely lacking in that department. Makes me feel like he would lose a war if Golovkin can turn it into one.Comment

Very shallow criticism. Canelo is one of the most well rounded fighters you'll find and he's fought top fighters who possess every style. He can be measured at times, but he's also willing to mix it up and for the past few years he's been the one pressing the action against bigger men.
I find it funny when people say the only way to beat Canelo is to knock him out, when not only do you rarely see opponents try to take him out, they're typically uncharacteristically tentative because his defense and hard counters limits the risks they're willing to take-- and that applies to hard punching guys like Kovalev and GGG. Against Canelo, you'll have guys opt to stay busy mostly with jabs and arm punches while getting outpower punched, like they're just hoping to tread water and make it to the scorecards. Then some biased folks will act surprised over judges making a distinction between arm punches and power shots.
For the GGG rematch, Canelo allowed team GGG to have a hand in picking the judges including signing off on the pro-GGG judge's return, then proceeded to beat him at his own standards and in the style of fight he called for-- and yet, he's willing to give GGG another shot. I'm not sure what more you can ask from him unless you somehow expect him to just stand in front of his opponents flat footed and defenseless.Comment

wow that sounds so amazing until you realize thats what happens in every fight or is your argument canleo picks the judges for every other fight he has and his opponents have zero say? that sounds really bad in that case.Very shallow criticism.
