  • Comments Thread For: Josh Warrington vs. Xu Can: Terms Agreed For Fight In Leeds

Josh Warrington looks set for a unification outing next. The 29-year-old has been is closing in on a featherweight unification fight after rejoining promoter Eddie Hearn back in February. Warrington, the IBF world champion at 126 pounds, has been out of the ring since ousting Sofiane Takoucht of France back in October and has long craved big fights. Shakur Stevenson, the WBO champion, had been mooted as a potential future foe, but it seems that China's WBA regular' champion Xu Can is the front-runner to be in the opposite corner to the 29-year-old when he returns.

Lol. Beat me to it. Neither have real power but they're perpetual when it comes to throwing punches. Should be a fun little high-stakes fight.

Xuuu Can "The Real Can Man" - I like this guy, he's got some nice inside game, he's fluid there and moves around, takes angles and makes the action continuous. Defense, not much effort there, but he'd still be a handful for anyone...and he's looks lengthy. I think the little movements on the inside makes him more complicated than just a guy coming in face first throwing 1000 punches, nice little rhythm once he gets going

Josh was getting sick and tired at all of the excuses from Stevenson. Stevenson said before he'd even fought for the title he was ready for Josh, only to then claim he needed more experience before taking the fight. Then he did the usual American duck shlt by asking for more money than Arum had offered. This is the same story every time. So Josh doesn't need to waste time on North American punanies when there's a willing champ in Can ready to go.

And the deal was to fight in England. Stevenson even claimed he'd travel. No one had yet talked about the fight being in the states. But it would have got to that in order for Stevenson to keep ducking the fight.

I'm glad I don't have to sit through the years of shlt talking from Stevenson and the asylum in their claiming that Josh is the one ducking when all the facts are there to see. Just like it was for AJ/Wilder. Just like it is for all the lies they've said about British fighters over the years when it's their guys doing the running.
