Still I think more of it was Lewis being way to casual than Rock being stellar.
Lewis and rock both tried to get up just kind of flailed haha . Both kos were savage one punch beauties. Lewis was just set up so perfectly with that winging little check hook , rocks was just straight thru after 5 jabs backing lewis up . Lewis was masterful rocks was just brute destruction. But both great KOs prolly the top best KOs traded at the championship level that I can remember . Now keep in mind when I say everything I just said. Rahman was one of my favorite fighters i followed him form.very early in his career on tuesday night fights . Lewis's knockout was just that sweet . One of the nicest kos I have witnessed in my lifetime if not the best . I dont know why the hell adrian davis had Rahman putting his arms out like he did . It was something he had never done before and lennox is a master of that left glove in the face follow with a big right. It was unnatural and akward when Rahman did it and he paid the price . Lewis showed he was clearly a level above Rahman still in the rematch and far from shot like everyone thought. He severely underestimated Rahman for that fight and he paid the price . It's not like Rahman was some bum he just had a war and stopped corrie Saunders 2 fights before that . I know at the time that wasnt a very big win but it was an amazing fight and Sanders proved his worth destroying wlad a couple fights after .

Yeah that arms outstretched defence, I’ve heard it called “The Mummy” and I even remember a video game where u could pick it. Big George had his cross arm defence in his comeback, that’s the only other strange style I can remember. I liked how Rock got under Lewis’s skin. My mom was born in South Africa and I still have family there, since the 1600s actually. Before I get crucified my grandfather father fought the apartheid and eventually fled the country. But I support every African fighter I can. I wish I knew about Corrie Sanders before he nertzed Wlad. I have seen him fight Rahman, what a war. Sanders always seemed to go all out for as long as he could. What a nasty left hand. He tagged Vitali with it and Vitali’s face looked like he had seen a ghost. I always remember Rocks long trunks that look like a can of barbasol. He had a decent jab at times. The Holyfield fight was a bad break. But I mean Holy don’t cut, don’t swell, don’t bleed. He’s made of sterner stuff. Rocks moment was great for boxing. Baltimore if I remember correctly.

There were a few others but I’m
Multitasking. OP’s mention is one of the few true one punch KO’s.

Lol. They all count. One punch KO happens when they all seem okay and then BOOM.

Pac marquez counts despite Marquez knocking down pacquiao in the earlier rounds.

Why you guys still trying to make a filter out of this and make it complicated?? It’s easy to spot which ones are one shot KOS. As long as it’s not accumulation damage where they just folded in the long run

Ya man corrie sanders was very underrated and hot and cold but he was also a pro golfer for alot of his career so i dont think he had the time and dedication he needed to make the most of what he had . If he had dedicated from a young age , he could have made alot more noise than he did . Besides a shaky chin sanders really had everything he needed to become a top heavy not just a flash in the pan like he ened up being . Funny u mention george because along with his archie moore inspired cross arm defence he also implied the arms out mummy tactic and ali famously mocked it before their fight . Rahman's moment wa huge for Bmore . AMD he followed it up with a decent run aswell . He was a very hard luck fighter for his early career with tua and maskaev . The ref was either his enemy or he himself.was his own worst enemy whether it be lack of training or over confidence . U never knew which rock was gonna show up . After the holy.fight he had a few tune ups and the become the no1 contender across the board with a demolition of kali Meehan which on paper now was so so but people who werent following the two seem to forget that meehan had just beaten lamon Brewster and was ROBBED of a decision . And brewster had just beaten wlad Klitschko. Not saying it was an all time win but meehan was a big favorite and rahman wiped the floor with him and stopped him then ended up picking up another strap. The 90s heavyweights were awesome and Rahman was a very solid prospect. There were alot of great prospects then and it seems Rahman and byrd somehow came out on top of the lot career wise . We had ibeabuchi, tua , Rahman, byrd , ruiz ( ruiz is on par or better achievement wise than rock and byrd but he was god awful to watch so iam gonna be bias lol )

I remember Ike vs Byrd and Ike vs Tua. My brother knows a kiwi who knew Tua growing up. I remember telling my family that they need to get on the Tua fan club cause he will be the next champ. They kinda tore me down, we’re hard on each other but it’s all in good fun, boxing is one of our bonds. Tua looked good for a moment vs Lewis, even the commentators said there’s going to be a new champ. But once Lennox painted Tua with a good right hand early the whole dynamic changed.

                Tommy Hearns - Duran
Julian Jackson - Herol Graham and the other standard picks, too hard to choose a single favourite

If you think Durán Hearns and Pac Hatton are one punch KO’s then there isn’t anything to discuss here.

Ya man tua was one of those guys who should have won a belt in his era . He never would have won the lineal title Lennox would have beat him 10 out of 10 times but if he had a better promoter he would have got positioned for a title for sure , I know he got an eliminator match with byrd and lost but that's a fight he could have won he just looked for a knockout and got jabbed to death which was all too common with tua . But he could have got a shot at John Ruiz with the right promoter and iam nearly positive ruiz has nightmares about tua and would resemble seldon or spinks fighting mike tyson ....scared ****less lmao . Tua was one of those guys who if he got enuff shots at a belt he would be bound to win because he would catch one of the titleholders eventually ( iam referring to ruiz and byrd here ) . But bad managment plagued tua . And the fact that when he was truly championship calibre lennox lewis and evander holyfield held all the belts ( wbo was not recognized then ,it was like ibo now ) and iam not sure he would beat either but imagine holyfield vs the tua who fought ibeabuchi !!! Timing and mamagment plagued tuas career but he was fun and fought almost everyone in the weak era he was a part of post y2k . But he was like anyone with insane power people talk about them and jump on the bandwagon , why not they are super exciting . Tua today would have held a belt for sure imo . Maybe not for long but he could beat wilder imo . He would have a legit shot vs AJ ( altho josh would only have to fight a duplicate of the ruiz 2 fight to win tua could catch him and would be more dangerous than ruiz ). Stand up David tua and in light of that I think david vs ruiz should be mentioned in this thread it's not technically a " one punch " KO as one staggered him then the next put his lights out then he got caught for one or two more dangling from the ropes haha but that was a savage, savage ko and iam surprised ruiz ever recovered from that mentally ....come to think of that maybe he never did because he starting hugging and wrestling rather than boxing after that fight and was never the same fighter . U may even be able to give tua credit for ruiz winning a belt . The new style he adapted seemed to work for him and frustrate the hell out of opponents . Problem was it put you to sleep . Watching his corner man norman stone's antics and between round insanity was far more entertaining than a quiet man fight LOL

Tua vs Tyson could have been fun. I remember Courage Tshabalama was something for a single minute.Tuas KO of Ruiz was brutal. Like u say testament to Ruiz that he even came back from that. But we always expected more of that from Tua. I remember he nailed Shane Cameron against the ropes. There’s levels to this thing. I hope Parker picks up his career, most islanders are good likeable dudes. Ruiz rematch would be cool. I don’t expect him to stick around for long, but I’d like to see him get a few more pay checks.
