No one is saying Ward doesn't have more strength in depth, but Fury's best is better than Ward's best.

But overall resume? Nah Sergey, Froch, Kessler, Abraham. Bika etc

On paper in the current, Ward. In reality & probably historically Fury.
Ward's wins are a long list of asterisks. Fight-deciding fouls, decisions over 80% of media scorers disagreed with, etc.
Fury's resume is not super deep but his flagship win is a lot more significant and his wins sent a message about the quality of his boxing rather than leaving questions about the dire state of officiating.Last edited by ////; 03-22-2020, 08:34 AM.

Especially considering some of Ward's wins, especially thinking Kessler here. That wasn't boxing.

It is weird how a guy like Grant never got better or was ever again in a position to be a legitimate challenger. He had the mass of a modern heavyweight but maybe lacked the conditioning and determination.

Fury has the best stand out win.... But the most?? Nahhh no way u can say that without giving Wilder too much credit. Question is how much do u rate his win over Wilder?
Imo is wasn't better than wins over Froch, Kessler.
And question.... How much do u rate the Dawson fight after considering the catch weight

I don't think Abraham was a great fighter. He was a good middleweight and an average super middle (for the top level) who basically lost in the premier league and decided to be content being the division 1 champ for the rest of his career.
He will never get into tthe HOF, and sadly neither will Kessler or Kovalev.
In order to get into the HOF it's not enough to scramble some world titles together against meaningless opponents.
But even if they weren't in the HOF, the are still very, very good wins for Ward. Especially Froch and Kessler.
Only Ward haters think otherwise when it supports their agenda.

Fury. He won his big fights with ease, ward beat froch by 1 round and was lucky froch started slow as he figured him out towards the end, and everyone thought he lost to kovalev in first fight and he won the 2nd by cheating and punching him in the balls.

Ward was better pound for pound but Fury dominated guys he was a heavy underdog in. It's a close call.
