Who’s more popular in England, Fury or Joshua?

Seems to me Joshua is judging by response in this forum. But is that really the case in the country?

I would think Fury coming to the US and conquering Wilder would make a huge difference in that especially since Joshua came to the US and failed miserably.

Kinda curious to hear what our Britain’s say.

Joshua. His popularity is a phenomenon over here. Fury claims the UK don't care about him but that's far from true, he's just not even close to AJ.

I reckon Fury is at his most popular after the smash job he did on Wilder who is seen as a massive bell end by brits. I bet he'd be on a level of a Ricky Hatton or Frank Bruno and that is nothing to moan about.

AJ is the most popular UK fighter since Bruno/Hamed/Benn were around. Lennox did well in the US, but in the UK wouldn't have sold the tickets, generated the money AJ has

Fury is nowhere near joshuas level , his rematch with Wlad was cancelled due to less that 20% tickets sold....fury has gained popularity lately but he still is miles behind Joshua

I'd say Fury has the massive majority of the hardcore boxing fans, whereas most of Joshua's fans are football fans who only watch Joshua, Whyte and a few other high profile Sky TV fighters, or casuals who followed him from the Olympics and probably only watch Joshua's fights on not boxing on the whole.

Both of them are household names but Joshua is definitely the bigger star of the two. He gets far more mainstream exposure because he has "the look" more than Fury and plays ball more with the media. Hes also clearly been the bigger draw so far, hes hands down the biggest draw in British boxing history if you look at the kind of PPV sales and ticket numbers hes done.

The tide may yet turn though given Furys recent performances. And dont get me wrong, Fury is still very well known and has a large fanbase in his own right. ****, even guys like Whyte and Chisora can get a decent following in the UK. Its just a boxing mad nation.
