So yeah I just really don't get the logic of some guys on here...but oh well lol.

Comparing Whitaker's career to Golovkin's is asinine and if you're wondering why I "disappear" it's because I don't waste too much time on this type of ignorance.
I've addressed the Gomez win, as shown in the post above...it does look good on paper but maybe shouldn't be a face value type win...if you want to swear by that win, OK...I don't really care man lol...I don't think Jacobs or SD at the time of those fights are much different than beating Gomez in those circumstances...but who cares really.

Honestly I think it's because when I respond to you, you eventually end up having nowhere to go debate-wise, so you just head out lol

But seriously...people turned this into a direct PW vs GGG thread, which wasn't really my intent...again I really wanted to reminisce about those fights...I've made pretty dispassionate posts about how I feel they are similar resumes...I've backed it up with why I think that way...all I've seen from people trying to counter that is name-calling, and not a whole lot of substance.

A lot of people I think are just really really tribal on here man...and then a lot of people refuse to give GGG a bit of credit for what has been a great career for him...I don't really get it but oh well...we are each entitled to an opinion.

But when asked for evidence of those opinions...I don't really get overwhelmed by the evidence...as evidenced by this thread lol...the guys from the past (or current) that people go lengths to prop up, and then disparage similar type guys on GGG's list...it's just weird to me lol.

But hey you just have to call it like you see it man...all we can do...again if someone can make some good points I am all ears...and I would really expect them to be able to make them rather dispassionately and easily...but seems like most of the responses on here (and in general) are really emotional and nasty without a ton of substance to prove their point.

Why the name-calling though? The dude probably just forgot Gomez lol...how can you says he hasn't heard of him but had heard of those other guys who don't have the same name recognition at all lol.

And now we are propping up those 3 guys but not crediting guys like Quillin, Jacobs, Murray, Brook, Geale etc..why can't people just be consistent....

GGG triggers a lot of people just because of who he is. Think of all the people who hate GGG just because:

        Canelo
        Mexican style
        Hes white
        Hes eastern euro
        Doesnt have a flashy style
        154-168 in 2012 ffs

But when you actually bring up facts a lot of those reasons to hate GGG falls apart. GGG is polarizing.

Think about it like this, if GGG wasnt that good why do so many people FIND reasons to hate him?

GGGs only criticism is that he never moved up in weight but moving up in weight should never be a criticism. Some guys are just built to move up and some arent. GGG has made weight every single time and hes not a big MW at all. Style wise hes best suited for 160-168 but at 38 I doubt he can make the leap because of his style.

Its like why smaller fighters retire or lose sooner than bigger fighters. When reflexes fade so does the fighter. Power is the last thing to go but any speed GGG did have? Gone. He just cant time you with how slow hes gotten.

I think the resumes are pretty similar. Contrary to "popular belief" GGGs resume isnt bad at all but its definitely not great. People pick and choose what they want to remember.

because people like you write thse posts, and in fairness they dislike the lies not GGG himself.

GGG is a respectable titleholder who won 2 titles in the ring so far, a 2 time titlist. Theres nothing to hate there.

But if David Benavdez lost and rewon his title this year, people shouting "hey hes the best supermiddleweight ever" would be derided in the same way.

I wouldn’t waste your time mate. This guy clearly has an agenda. Just another clown making a troll thread...

Even guys like Villasana (who both beat) are as good if not better than anyone Jacobs, Lemieux or Murray beat.

U vs a flea would be a better fight proposal.

A battle worn Gomez at the end of his career. Kind of like Lebedev and Maccarinelli taking full credit for knocking out Roy Jones.
