Errol Spence Jr. vs. Shawn Porter prize money, purse
The guaranteed purses for Spence and Porter were revealed Friday morning when Yahoo Sports reported both fighters will be making $2 million, with each getting a percentage of the pay-per-view buys. It's estimated the fight will draw between 300,000 and 500,000 buys at $74.99 apiece.

How much does Errol Spence and Shawn Porter make per fight?
For his PPV bout against Garcia, Forbes says Spence earned a career-high of $8 million. $3 million came from his purse and the rest from the ESPN report of 360,000 PPV buys. In the fight before that vs. Carlos Ocampo, Spence made a disclosed $1.2 million. When he won the IBF belt from Brook, Spence made a disclosed $1.22 million.

Terence Crawford Vs. ‘Mean Machine’ purses
It’s unclear exactly how much Kavaliauskas is making, but according to The Athletic, Crawford will take in about a $4 million purse. In his last fight vs. Amir Khan, Crawford earned a minimum of a $5.5 million.

I don't know how much they want, but probably more than they've ever made, and rightly so!

They don't give much of a **** about live gate. Why do you think Arum was mentioning what they needed from US PPV to break even. Crawford vs Spence does just as well in US PPV and that's what matters most. It also does a huge gate in Vegas.

so like i said around $1-6 mil... why are they asking for more and why are you agreeing with them?

what is crawford's highest ppv fight? against khan? or no? and that fight sold what, 150k? spence against mikey did around 350k or so? so again, going by those numbers, why are they asking for more than what they deserve?

point is that fury had his whole country backing him, then like i posted a few pages back, once the americans knew about fury, they also hopped on the train.... like i said, i dont see much americans showing the same support for spence/crawford outside of the AA community, and even then, i dont even think the AA community is going to contribute much to it.

Exactly. Tarver heckling Roy Jones at every press conference. Or, Briggs heckling Klitschko. Mosley heckling Floyd. The list goes on with people who truly wants to fight somebody. He is one of my fav now, but he's a goofy m'fer for this shjt.

I was turned on to Boxing in the 80's as a young boy.....I know exactly what you mean.....once you have experienced Quality, you can spot mediocrity at all levels.......The All Time Greats... like Hearns, Leonard, Duran, Barkley, and My Fav Hagler ...(you had to hide the women and the children when these dudes fought)......you notice that these men were recognized by just one name.......sort of like Elvis.....why???? Because They Were Bad MoFos

This is a business. That's correct.

But it is the business of extracting money from the public for event tickets and for PPVs.

If we, the public, aren't getting the fights we want then maybe we need to stop supporting the other fights. The ones we don't really want.

What do you think happens to your business then, Crawford?

I appreciate the honesty of Bud. I strongly believe that anyone that signs up for the sport of boxing isn’t afraid of anyone. It’s an inherent risk and danger they all take choosing this specific career. I also believe Haymon & Arum can work together and want this fight to build a little more.

But I said it before on this forum a few times, wins by Bud over the likes of Danny Garcia or Thurman or Porter or a combination of (2) wins in there would definitely help a Spence vs Bud fight financially. OR maybe Spence fighting either Garcia or Thurman or Manny. Both should try to collectively clear out the division except for a remaining fight between themselves for all the marbles.

Remember when Sugar Ray Leonard fought Tommy Hearns. That fight was huge because Leonard had already fought and beat Benitez, then had a grueling loss to Duran, and a rematch win to avenge that loss. Tommy beat Cuevas and grabbed the WBA belt and was undefeated, 32-0, 29 TKO/KO’s. So Sugar Ray and Tommy Hearns were the 2 left standing in the Welterweight division. Spence has already beat Porter. I think it would be great if Spence OR Crawford fights Garcia, Thurman, Manny and they both have a combination of wins against those fighters to be left standing. HUGE PPV!!!

doubt the fight will happen anytime soon, because of the accident Spence was in, but the stock for these to fighters grow everyday. Boxing to fight for the passion or Boxing to fight for the money....they will win both ways.
