“If it makes sense, then a fight can get made. There are no hurdles. It’s all about money at the end of the day. If there is enough money on the table, then a fight is going to get made. If there are two promotional companies coming together, we all gotta eat,” said Crawford. “Sometimes there isn’t enough money to break down for everybody." - Bud

I keep telling ya'll its bob who doesn't want to give up the bread that dude never wants to play fair at the table. PBC making sure Errol gets his shots at the other title, bring up his popularity to make SURE bob CAN'T say 50/50 split
And...if one guy can't sell out a family dinner (Crawford) the other guy is pulling the weight and should get the majority split.

That's what Terrence and his fans refuse to accept. He hasn't earned the payday he demands.

For a long time, Steward was saying that Hearns wouldn't even step into the ring with Leonard unless each fighter was guaranteed he'd leave with the same amount of money in his pocket. That was a bargaining position, of course. Steward realized that Leonard was the drawing card.
And while half the advertisements bill the fight as the Leonard-Hearn s match, the other half bill it as Hearns-Leonard. Mike Trainer shrug s off these compromises as inconsequential. ''They can leave our nam e off completely if we can have more money,'' he says.
That Golden era where 'the best' weren't worrying about the money never existed, man. Times and details may have changed but that hasn't.

"Golden era" - which spawned a Tommy 'Hitman' Hearns who ended up slurring, broke and working as a bagger at some supermarket.

I'm not suggesting that excessive paydays are good. But let's not pretend that the fighters of the past didn't get royally screwed over.

You may be right? I would have thought he understood the game after watching Mikey and Manny bounce?
