Serious question - what do you make of the fact that Canelo was able to KO Kovalev and hold the ring vs GGG in fight 2...but he couldn't KO or hurt a blown up Cotto?

I would be surprised if he KOed BJS but Canelo is looking better and better lately, especially more powerful, so who knows.

Different styles, different fights.
Cotto even at that point was still a slick fighter with great footwork. Canelo was coming up in weight as well and was still a fairly young fighter. Plus Cotto was on that bicycle pretty much the second half of the fight and didn’t engage as much as a GGG or Kov did.
Had Cotto gone for it he may have been KO’d like Kov as well. He was in survival mode.
GGG and Kov fought a prime Canelo.
