Decent win. Hatton was exposed badly for his lack of defensive skills
In your opinion, how impressive was Floyd's win over Hatton?

That was a crazy fight man. When I sit back and wonder what life is about, the more I see pbfm as the goat. He was on everybodies tv set for the last 2 decades. He really did put in his dues, from hungry up and comer to stable champ to reigning ****y pound for pounder. He didn't just win one big fight then retire in two more, he had a legacy.
I heard after the cotto fight his body was so sore that he stayed in the shower for 3 hours drinking mountain dew.Comment

It was a good win
Hatton was undefeated and beaten some decent fighters. He never really was the same fighter at 147 though.
Even so, you can only rate a fight by how it was when the fight was announced and Hatton was one of the top fighters around those weights at the time.
Also, Floyd pretty much beat him at his own game inside, which was impressive.
I’d argue that was probably the end of Floyd’s prime. When he returned in 2009, his legs were never the same as 2007 and before, it got noticeable definitely after the JMM fight. Yet he still beat a lot of top fighters after that.Last edited by deathofaclown; 03-13-2020, 03:53 PM.Comment

Im no floyd fan bit i was so happy to see him kick Hatton’s boring ass.
I really hated watching Hatton fight. He held more than John Ruiz and overall just very ugly and sloppy.
That might have been floyd’s best win.Comment
