just don't pay attention to what the trolls say. even without the franchise belt and loma just chose to keep the regular wbc title, haney would still not be on his radar. it's already well reported, even before, that the winner of loma-campbell will face the winner of lopez-commey winner for a unification. that was the toprank plan and haney was never in the picture. unifications are more important than mandatories.

The franchise title is a BS title made up by the WBC so their favorite Mexican Canelo can keep his WBC world titles without ever defending them. It is a useless unneeded title that most boxing fans don't give a damn about or even understand it or think there is any reason for it to exist. For whatever your reasons may be you hate good Eastern European boxers like GGG and Loma. Loma has had a great career winning world titles at 126, 130 and 135. Nobody has done more or faced better opponents than he has in less time. He has defeated champion after champion and top contender after top contender. His next fight is against number 1 contender Lopez who is looking like a young monster. He might beat Lopez or he might lose. He might drop back to 130 because he is way too small for 135. For sure he will continue to face top opponents win, lose or draw as he has always done. The useless franchise title will have no effect on his career and nobody cares if he is franchise champion or not.

Frachise belt is worthless, very in line with the 'bc interim and silver belt. Throw in the 'ba and their regular and interim belts and you now potentially have 102 belts in 17 divisions between 2 belt entit(ies). fcuk em both!

Dude there is no difference between what Canelo/GBP/WBC did and Loma/TR/WBC did.

Both guys used the designation to avoid the mandatory challenger. IMO both camps did this because they didn't want to have to enter into negotiations to defend their belts because the obvious play for big money backed guys like Haney and Charlo is to not make a deal and have the purse bid. Canelo and Loma camps didn't want to do that.

In addition, both Canlo and Loma have very lucrative, easily winnable options other than their respective mandatory. The WBC is all in because they get more from Canelo and Loma (3% of their purses is far more than 3% of other guys) so they wanted to protect their take.

You can't find fault with one and not the other.

Your'e talking rubbish. The WBC hadn't even ordered a mando between Haney and Loma when Haney got injured.

All the pretenders are just waiting around till Loma retires like the cowards they are.
Here is your answer John. Loma will do what good champions do and you can't make him look bad no matter how hard you try. He sets a good example for other top fighters and champions by fighting top guys fight after fight after fight. He has never fought any guy not ranked number 5 in the world or higher. How many other boxers do that? Very few.

Did I forget to mention unifying in his third weight class, after becoming a 3 weight world champ in record time

                    1) Loma is a p4p warrior
                    2) "franchise" belts are silly, redundant, and distracting
                    3) I'm looking forward to Loma-Lopez
