A look back. Salido was a dirty cheating overweight POS against Loma.

Lol. You’re saying every fighter drains to make “those last 2 lbs” from any class? You’re saying Salido would be less effective had he made 126 instead of 128? YOURE confusing fighters CHOOSING Not to make the weight vs can’t make the weight. You have no idea of the sport.

There are pictures of Salido walking around being a HULK compared to Salido.

Jacobs chose not to follow the morning rules with Canelo and GGG. Did it matter? Loma just ain’t thug life

Thinking somebody is losing sleep over something on a boxing forum helps make your day better? And you're looking forward for more?

It did and will continue to have a large impact on his marketability. Losing that zero is unfortunately a big thing. It's definitely not the end of the world, lack of superstar opponents at his weight classes is a much bigger problem for his marketability.

Having said that, I think that loss was extremely beneficial to his career and his growth as a fighter. Loma was coming off 2 gold medals in the Olympics. Getting a random loss against a dirty opponent is a big "remember thou art mortal" moment. Loma learned that same lesson again vs. Linares when he got cute and got put on his ass. He's an absolutely amazing fighter who lives and breathes boxing, and he's a ****y SOB. Eating a dose of humility every couple of years will make him better in the long run.

It was a good experience for Lomachenko and shows the difference between someone who knows how to box and someone who clubs like a caveman.

I don't remember many excuses. What I remember is Lomachenko learning from the loss and growing as a fighter.

He sure was. Came in heavy, entered the ring at 147, and got away with low blows all night. The same crackheads who cry about Loma being 137 to Rigo's 130, are quick to forget how much bigger Salido was than Loma. They also forget that Salido basically made Mikey quit with his dirty tactics, breaking his nose with a headbutt.

Loma gave zero excuses for the decision not going his way. He did gain plenty of experience from it.

I'm just annoyed with some here saying Salido schooled Loma when he was on his way to being KOd in the 11th and 12th, and the rounds he so called "won", he simply smothered Loma by fighting dirty and blocking the action.

Easy work? Salido was walking around the ring like a drunkard in the last 2 rounds, barely hanging unto Loma to stay upright.
