I figured something like this might happen eventually, but I never thought Helenius would be the one to do it. It seems less shocking in retrospect though - Helenius might not have much going for him but he's got a punch and a chin, and I guess that's all you need against a fighter who's all offense, zero defense like Kownacki.Comment

Kownacki was getting groomed to be spoofed in a losing title shot against windmill to pad out your King's resume and keep the greenbelt hostage in PBC's camp.Comment

Well it's what happens when the best fights the best. The more risks you take in the ring, the greater your chances of eventually losing. Somebody's 0 has got to go.
In the case of Kownacki; He ducked Breazeale to cherrypick Helenius and lost and Anthony Joshua ducked Deontay Wilder to cherrypick Andy Ruiz and lost. Both men tried to play it safe and got their tails whooped.Comment

...until the gypsy king exposed wilder for the one dimensional, unskilled, mollycoddled juvenile one trick pony he is!Comment

Helenius is a better fighter than most fans will admit. So I wasn't surprised he stopped Kownacki... even if you never know how things will go when Robert fights.
Where he goes from here is anyone's guess... but I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Washington and/or Duhaupas rematch... or maybe vs Ortiz, Parker, Povetkin, Martin, Rivas, Breazeale... Lotta great fights he could take. Don't think he'll get a title, but he can still make some serious noise for a few more years.Comment

How'd that go again???...lolComment

Helenius was in the best shape that i can remember and his hands looked faster than before. I'm kind of surprised. I did recognize that he was landing some pretty sharp punches before that actually happened, though and if he landed correctly, it was a possibility. People have forgotten that he can punch.Comment
