Is Hughie at his age as good as Tyson was at that age?

Unlike most people on here, I like when fighters prove me wrong. More good fighters in a division is never a bad thing.
British level fighters do not make Parker look silly, go to Bulgaria and go 12 with a bad cut, or go 12 with Povetkin.

I'm sorry.... I just think you are wrong by a massive margin. Fringe-world to British is a big gap....... Price can't hang with the guys Hughie fought.

I didn’t think he made Parker look foolish, but I probably need to watch that fight again. Neither Parker or Pulev are hard punchers though. Parker and Povetkin both beat Price, but more because of styles IMO.

Like I said though, I’d be happy to be proven wrong.

No. Not at all. When Tyson was 24 he already made Chisora look amateur twice, knocked out Steve Cunningham and was #1 contender to Wlad.

i often hear the first fury/chisora fight is debatable, where some think chisora won while the second one was a clear fury win

There is no debating either Chisora fight. Fury gave that man a boxing lesson.

He did make Parker look foolish by easily defending his pressure and attacks. I accept that he did not offer much in return...... but Hughie's ability defensively is top notch.

If he gets a punch, or power, to stop guys coming at him like Parker did..... he's going to be good.

Parker came forward aggressive in their fight but Hughie can just throw himself back into the ropes and lean back to avoid the wild swings.

Takes a very good and schooled boxer to do that.

Hughie has the movement, balance and defence down..... if he adds power, a solid jab, a good right hand over the next few fights/years...... very good boxer.

There’s no debate. Only way it’s debatable is if you compare it to the second fight where people thought Chisora should retire it was so one sided.

That’s why I say he’s like watching an armless Tyson Fury

I get why people laugh at him..... when you remember he is the same age as Ajagba and has already fought 3 top 10's and not been KD'd or beaten badly....

come on? I try and look at him as a work in progress and a young guy, rather than a genuine contender.
