Why didn't canelo stay at 175 to fight beterbiev?

Why move up to that division, win and drop back down again? It's as if he covers 3 weight classes and goes up and down based on which champion is most vulnerable . He'll be back down to 160 when golovkin is 40 and then if some ****ing bum wins a title at 175 he will be back up there!!! Saunders best win is a razor thin decision against Chris eubank Jr and he lost 5 of the last 6 rounds, just cause he's got an 0 doesn't mean it's a great opponent, he hasn't beaten a single world level fighter!!!!! Not one!

Why didnt GGG move up period??? Canelo is now fighting an undefeated champ at 168...How can you try to slam him??? Why can't Beterbiev move to cruiserweight and dare to be great?

Because Oscar could not rig Beterbiev to throw the fight to Canelo like Golovkin did. Like Kovalev did.

Same reason Hagler and Monzon stayed at 160. Nothing to lure them up. Nothing to lure Beterbiev up to cruiser. If there was a big money fight he'd surely go up. Only a dummy can't understand this.

Considering he fought at 200lbs+ before this isn't out of line at all. However IMO LHW is the better division currently.

Newsflash: It's not a requirement to move up to "be great". Most fighters move up in weight because they can no longer comfortably maintain their current weight class. Alvarez did it to break a record. He knows he can't **** with top guys like Beterbiev, hence the move back down.

He should have never gone up to fight Kovalev. The division was moving fine, Kov was about to get retired by Beterbiev and now it's got a vacant title and a bunch of bull****.

The question was about Canelo, Conelo lover and GGG hater. Why do you drag GGG into it.GGG didn't move up because he didn't outgrow the weight class as Canelo did. Why is staying at one weight some kind of mortal sin. It was good enough for great champions Monzon, Hagler, Pryor, Zale etc. etc, Canelo targeted a weak old champion in Kovalev with no intention of ever fighting Bivol or Beterbiev and Canelo cannot make 168 anymore. Why won't Canelo give a champion he beat in his backyard by a single pint a rematch????? If Canelo offers GGG a rematch at 168 he will move to 168 and fight him in a heartbeat. Meanwhile GGG is a champion of the world at 160 so why should he move to 168?

Because he picked the weakest oldest champion at 175. It’s obvious to everyone but Canelo’s fanboys. So of course he vacates and goes back to 168 to fight a guy who’s goes life and death with journeyman on a regular basis
