How the hell are you going to go after a nice guy like Farhood? A guy who spent his whole career trying to build up the sport and give it exposure. That is really low.

Paulie is not a Wilder hater like most of these vicious, malicious and racist boxing fans who are gloating over his loss. However at the same time, he is not exactly a fan of his either or his slugger/KO style. If anyone knows anything about Paulie and that is, he is partial and always favor the graceful boxer types.

Also, Paulie's trouble is that he is honest and sometimes brutally honest and it can rub some people the wrong way. He is very outspoken and tells it like it is. At the same time he is very professional and fair.

He won't allow his own personal dislike or feelings about someone to get in the way of him doing his job. He called the first Wilder/Fury fight the way he saw it; A fight in which Fury won that many boxing fans thought he should have lost because he was knocked out and never should gone to the scorecards in the first place.

Paulie is correct. Wilder is surrounded by yes men and that has made him delusional. He thinks he is above criticism now.

It's disgusting. And I say that as someone who was rooting for him.

He was so in love with putting fury down that he couldn't see that he lost the entire rest of that fight. So he said he was robbed. Now, he got waxed and everyone saw it, so he can't claim robbery like he did in the 1st fight. So instead, he looks for other reasons to explain what happened. None of his reasons include the inescapable fact that tyson fury had the ability to put his fist on deontay's face over and over and land those shots. So glove gate was created. Glove gate doesn't explain how the punches were able to consistently find their target. Now that he clearly lost, you can see the poor character he exhibits where he can't just own it. He's a chump that just hits hard. How can you improve if you won't own anything you do wrong and can't accept critcism?
All solid points. And yet we have stacks of Wilder fans who just can't accept their idol was smashed in the 2nd fight... and soundly outboxed in the first fight. They're like their idol.... insane ego won't let them admit defeat.

Preface by saying I actually looked at all pages of this thread up to 9 just to see if Wilder himself commented. There were several wacko comments attacking Paulie, but no 'official' Wilder comments. Which actually surprised me. Time will tell.

But yeah, Wilder's yes men, his insane ego, his punching power causing him to be too lazy and arrogant to learn boxing 101... all of that has put him behind the 8 ball now. If... actually WHEN... he loses the 3rd fight... his career will be in ruins. He'll get some fights vs top 20 fighters, and will win most, but the big paydays will be history. And the only one he will be able to blame will be himself.... even though he'll blame everyone else. The End.

You can tell he was fake starting with the fake costumes and the race baiting tactics. Talking about catching bodies and then praising GOD right after. It will always end the same way for certain actors. Sometimes it happens quickly, sometimes it take a while but it always happens eventually. The fall from the pedestal is a hard one and the recovery is not an easy road. Not many choose that road, they instead take the easy route which only leads to more failure.

Even if he sacked them all and got in a top notch corner, he isn’t going to reinvent himself at this age. Hard to see what adjustments he can make knowing fury can choose to either outbox him or out hustle and fight him.
One things for sure, if he truly believes his costume had anything to do with him losing, he's totally screwed.
