So Mikey would rather fight Welters than fight Lomachenko?

Mikey and Loma dont do catchweights and rightly so. Loma has alreadly said publicly that he will not go any higher than 135, and he might drop back down to 130 if he can't get Tank after the Teo fight.

I get it, it's just that as a fan I would really love to see the fight. I understand both guys' positions though. Loma doesn't wanna give up too much size and Mikey doesn't wanna be drained.

Why Can't Lomafako just grow a set and meet Garcia @ 140lbs?

Fighters can't just move up indefinitely and everybody has a limit. That's like saying Manny Pacquiao should grow a set and fight at 154 or 160.

I imagine it might be difficult to get back down to 135 after having fought at 147. Only Mikey knows for sure but I get it if that's the case, just like I understand if Canelo doesn't go down to 160 after moving all the way up to 175.

That's why I threw out the idea of a catchweight of 137-138. Loma would have to move up a little more while Mikey would have to drop down but not all the way down. I know it probably won't happen but one can dream, right?
