Extremely disappointing this fight isn't going to get made. This is the fight everyone wants to see.

No one wants to see this dude at 147. He's too small for the division.

Go back to the division you belong in and fight boxers around your size. Going to end up getting seriously hurt.

There are weight classes for a reason.

I think it's more Mikey is shooting for the 5th weight division belt believing it helps his legacy. What he isn't looking at is the fights with people like Loma create a better subject matter in the future.
It's that or he's afraid of the outcome.

He keeps saying he can't get fights at 140 so that's why he's staying at 147

So he either doesn't want Loma, or loves food too much to even attempt to go back to 135

I don't think Loma is interested in 140, and Mikey wont go down to 135.

Not a good idea to move back down to 135 at this point, it could drain him.

I think it’s more him trying to get a belt in a 5th weight class, I don’t believe Garcia is that worried about Lomachenko that he opted to take on Errol Spence as an escape route. He’s fought more than enough top guys for me to give him the benefit of the doubt in that he’s always up for the challenge plus it’s not exactly easy getting these rival promoters to come together to make fights we want to see.

I would like to see him back at 140 or 135 (assuming it’s not draining at this stage) as I agree that he’s giving up too many physical advantages at 147.

I would like to see him fight Loma and I think Loma would beat him with superior speed and skill. I believe Mikey is a natural lightweight and he never had trouble making 135 when he fought at that weight and he is long past the age when men grow heavier. He looks soft and fleshy at 147. However it is his choice what weight he fights at. I doubt he has more chances of being seriously hurt than any other boxer by fighting at welterweight. He went 12 rounds with the welterweight with the highest KO percentage named Spence. Spence hit him 400 times with every punch in the book and while he lost every round by a mile he was never seriously hurt. I think he has enough skill and power to beat most welterweights but I do think Loma beats him at 135. Loma has made it clear 135 is his ceiling fighting weight and rightfully so. Loma could still make 126 and he is a very small lightweight. If Loma did go to 140 no doubt the ones who want him to lose would dare him to go to 147.

                  A catchweight of 137-138 perhaps?

Mikey's too big for Loma and idk if he can boil back down to 135 since he's getting older. And Mikey's short for 147, he should of stopped at 140.
