AJ has to be up there.

Picked up his first title off Charles Martin, who won a title via leg injury. They basically bought his belt.

Then had a couple of easy defences then fought Wlad in his big breakout fight with a vacant title on the line. But Wlad had been inactive for a while, was 41 and coming off a loss. Hearn basically admitted the fight may not have happened if that wasn’t the case.

Another easy defence v Takam with a dodgy ref that waved the fight off for no reason. Then fought Parker in a unification once they saw Parker had been looking very average, had debatable decisions with guys like Hughie Fury. Hearn even drafted in a ref to keep Parker away from AJ. So they picked up another title.

Great career management to control nearly all the belts without taking any real risks. Plus attracting a huge casual fanbase and a lot of money.

Wilder’s was good too, but they never really brought in huge money until very recently. Also, they cherry picked Fury thinking he was finished. Then it all went downhill.

It’s Floyd, this thread has no further discussion. Nobody managed a better career than Floyd, nobody.
Floyd cared more about managing his career than actually fighting. It’s just the truth.

Al Haymon with Mayweather knew who to avoid when to fight the person they were avoiding , how to master catch weights who to choose as Judges and refs. Retire to avoid the lions comeback after they all beat themselves up to clean house on shop worn fighters . It was a Master piece by Al Haymon

Great point. Azumah Nelson immediately came to mind.

Of course time is going to favor floyd’s style since his technique ages gracefully than offensive ones.. as history have repetitively shown us.. he fights a conservative defensive style. Compare his prime version to his 35 yr old version it’s almost identical.. now compare prime pac to his 36 yr old self. Or oscar to his 34 yr old self. They’re night and day..

I like floyd but that’s just the truth. He will always have a shot at tbe and goat.. but dissecting it reveals ugly stuffs.
Then the best version of Floyd was 135 so he beat all these guys out of his prime.

Berto was his last fight, the other two were better credentialled than Algeri Horn and Rios.

Lmao you’re so offended by this thread you won’t stay out.

Floyd is the best career manager.
