Why do British fighters struggle against Mexican fighters?

After Yafai got sparked out yesterday, we need to start asking this question.

AJ lost to Andy Ruiz because he wasn't acquainted with the Mexican style of boxing. Charlie Edwards got left hooked to death by some Mexican midget. Prince Naseem Hamed was never the same after Barrera battered him. And I'm also picking Ramirez to spark Josh Taylor out as well.

Why's the Mexican style so difficult for British boxers to adapt to?

British fighters usually lack defensively and so the offense heavy Mexican style is often stylistically superior.

Yank fighters are often defence oriented and make Mexicans look crude

Boxing is rock paper scissors really

I think the amateur coaches in Team GB need to start mixing things up. Looking at the young lads going to the olympics, I don't think any of them would become a star in the pros. They're solid amateurs tho.

But Andy Ruiz's parents are from Mexico and he has spent significant time on both sides of the border. Andy was born and raised in the USA but his culture and heritage are Mexican.

Gonzalez is Nicaraguan. It's an entirely different country and he has no ties to Mexico at all.

British fighters struggle against world class fighters, period.

They almost always lose at world level.

Outside of a few outliers like Tyson Fury.

                Josh has 3 belts.

                Josh Taylor has 2 belts.

                Josh Warrington has a belt.

                Fury has a belt.

                LMAO.

Josh Taylor will be fighting Jose Ramirez at some point. And Josh Warrington will be fighting Shakur Stevenson.

We'll see if they are outliers or if they go down like UK fighters typically do.

                    Honestly though , I don’t think it’s just British
I’d say it’s more European’s in general who have a hard time against North American’s and maybe more against Mexicans ( I’ve never really looked into , just talking from what I recall )
But in general Europeans do better in Olympic style boxing
And I think they carry that over to the pro’s , which doesn’t bode well
