Side note. Wilder could still step aside. However he had to initiate the rematch clause to make step aside money necessary.
Of this fight is promoted right...aka revenge, redemption, emotion, etc it can be another big ppv event that the USA pays attention to. Wilder v Fury III is good for boxing in the USA. And both wilder and fury are American based fighters

He still hasn’t been humbled even now
Tyson Fury has to honor the contract he signed.

Really do not wanna see a 3rd fight but it is what is. If Wilder get lucky, then there will be a 4th fight. AquaJuice (AJ) will have to wait longer. If the same Fury comes, the lights out again for bummer.

So has it been activated or hasn't it?

"Right now, the clause for a third fight with Tyson Fury has not been activated yet,” Finkel exclusively told World Boxing News. “Deontay intends to activate it. He wants the trilogy.”

Only if they/we think we actually have something to lose if he fights and loses. It ain’t that crucial lad, it’s just a sport

Nobody really wants a third fight, but if it means Wilder will retire and take his special needs self out of the public eye, then I’m all for it.
it's crazy that if he retired after Fury fight, he could have still retired after only one more fight, but could've made probably 25 million more to let Fury AJ unify the belts, then WHEN he would have fought for the undisputed, he makes perhaps one of the biggest paydays ever...pure idiocy.

it's hard to believe team Wilder didn't take the free money payoff, then get the winner of the Fury v AJ undisputed title...my god

seems the boxing world wants to see Fury v AJ, so Wilder is shooting himself win or lose. people now know without a doubt that Fury is best HW boxer right now, and only AJ poses a threat to him.

not saying he doesn’t but it will be a walkover for fury and wilder has far to many flaws to fix in just over 4 months , really are going to fork out 80 dollars for a rout ? Forget your American for a minute and what you would you rather see , 100k sold out stadium for the undisputed heavyweight world title or a half filled arena with zero interest in seeing a trilogy and poor ppv sells.
If your a boxing fan you want to see the stadium option and not the poor alternative

The rematch clause was agreed to by all parties so none of that other stuff matters.

I agree. I think at this point, Wilder would refuse any step aside money, not out of pride, but out of spite. He hates Hearn so much for exposing his cowardice he’ll turn down any number that’s offered.
