  • Comments Thread For: Wilder Activates Contract Clause For Third Fight With Fury

Deontay Wilder has officially put himself in position to prove that the third time's the charm. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that the former heavyweight titlist has activated the clause in his contract that will call for an immediate third fight with two-time and reigning lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (30-0-1, 21KOs). The declaration came six days after England's Fury dominated the previously unbeaten American, scoring a 7th round knockout in their February 22 rematch at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

there should be an addendum to the contract that the losing fighter gets a gag order imposed on them so we dont hear a bunch of silly excuses next time.......

they played the wrong entrance music......

they had evian water in the dressing room instead of dasani........

there was a full moon 3 nights before the fight........

one of the tv cameramen went to school with a guy whose sister once dated the step brother of a guy who drove a truck for budweiser, and budweiser is the official beer vendor at MGM......

    etc... etc..... etc......

Ughh....well no suprise here, where else could he go? It's a pity as everyone wants to see the undisputed fight, hopefully this fight gets over with by July, Fury wins again and as long as AJ beats Pulev (no guarantee) then the big undisputed fight should take place at end of year....in an ideal world.

Fury would have to be the favorite.

Makes sense for wilder.... a loss to Parker, Ruiz, or whyte would be the end of wilder making big bucks

no surprises. Wilder gonna have to learn to fight on the back foot and make it a rough fight

Favorite, most definitely...but no sure thing...as long as he dont make no mistakes like the first fight.

I'm not ecstatic with it, but looking on the bright side - if we get this and AJ/Pulev in the summer along with the rumoured Usyk/Chisora and Whyte/Povetkin fights, thats honestly not a bad few months for the HW division at all. Much better than last year.

Yes, that's true as long as the Fury/Wilder winner fights the AJ/Pulev winner at end of year I'm cool with it.

Putting on extra weight was the worst idea ever! (and i'M not talking about the costume) Shred those pounds, and come out firing Brown Bomber! That's your only chance... You'll have 3 rounds to pull it off. After that... well... what's left of your ego will be flushed down the toilet.
