Neither of them won 8 rounds. The commentary was disgusting. The DAZN crew is usually trash, and I didn't expect them to be good. But I watched the SkySports team, and they were just as bad. I had it 114-113 Mikey. He would only fight for 10-15 seconds of a round down the stretch. Vargas, while mostly ineffective, fought throughout.

You sort of have to dominate like Spence to win a decision over Mikey plus ya need good people in your camp.

I actually had the exact same card. The narrators were talking nonsense about Vargas getting battered,but after the knockdown he invested in the body and slowed down garcia significantly. Garcia was occasionally landing punched,but Vargas was landing far more consistently with the jab and the body work.

Yeah, Vargas was landing a lot to the body and got a fair bit of jabs in too, not to mention those overhand rights. Mikey had to conserve his output because he had lost some gas after he tried to take Vargas out in the fifth, but Vargas still kept pushing him slowly but surely. Mikey doesn't seem to have the stamina to throw with volume....Or maybe he's just being very cautious of getting hit by a punch where he's unprepared (a punch that he doesn't see).

He did better than the commentators were letting on but didn't do enough to win even if Mikey should have worked a little more in certain rounds & got a little complacent at times.

Vargas started well then Mikey found his timing and lit him up. Credit to Vargas he bit down and stole a few rounds late on with his workrate but he didn't do enough in my eyes or enough to warrant a draw or rematch.

A lot of Vargas shots were falling just short or blocked. I don't feel he was getting through as much as it perhaps looked. Mikey on the other hand while the volume wasn't there he was landing the clean, telling shots.

No he wasn't bro. He got hurt in several rounds and dropped in the 5th. Those rounds towards the end were close with Mikey landing the bigger shots

I felt is was prolly a draw like i called . Vargas just never does quite enuff plus mikey was a big favorite with the bigger fan base . I think the knockdown was likely the differnce in the fight . That being said I wouldnt have complained if Vargas won , and the scorecards were not accurate
