Has everyone forgotten that AJ gave Fury a beating in sparring?

I reckon Joyce is seriously dangerous. He is not pretty to watch at all and looks like hes fighting underwater, but a heavy handed, high volume 6'6, 250lb'er with a granite chin is not going to be easy to deal with.Comment

Yeah he was an outstanding amateur so is obviously a lot more skillful than people think. The guy who sparred with him and dubios reckons Joe stops him within 5.Comment

You shouldnt be using distant examples anymore, like the "What if that was Wilder instead of Wallin fighting Fury" before the Fury/Wilder fight. Using the AJ/Fury sparring scenario to pick a winner will probably get you broke again like the "What if that was Wilder instead of Wallin" scenario that lost you a lot of money. Maybe you will take my advice this time.Last edited by richardt; 02-27-2020, 04:50 PM.Comment

I have never wavered in saying AJ is the # 1 HW.
Did you see the basketball results the other night? Loads of upsets. That does not mean that the top teams are not still the top teams. Upsets happen. In all sports, boxing included.
It is only these new fans in the.post Mayweather era that think one loss = you're done.
Now...Wilder needs to take some proper fights like Whyte, Parker, Dubois etc if he wants to be taken seriously again. His ducking hurt his image- as did his cowardice post fight.
AJ will offer great betting value against Fury, because Fury just beat a hype job and now Fury is being hyped. The reality is, we simply don't know how good Fury is, because he only has his Wlad win as a quality opponent. Joshua will beat Fury in a dogfight, but in a boxing match it's a close call. I'd say AJ can box with Fury and is more likely to find an opening for a heavy combination than Fury is. I'll be lumping heavily on Joshua if Fury doesn't retire instead of facing him.Comment
