Yeah, a good trainer would’ve loved someone with that punch and time to work with a raw fighter.

Although, i still think fighters that start boxing at 19 or 20 still always seem to lack the fluidity and coordination that those who done it from a much younger age have. Maybe not always, but i think 99% of the time.

When you see how a guy like Fury and his boxing coordination, i think that’s a result of boxing from being a little kid.

So i think Wilder would’ve always had some short comings in that respect, but he still could’ve been a LOT better with a proper trainer. He has so many flaws in his muscle memory now at 34 years old, he is what he is now.

I’m not even sure how much his current team know about game plans. The guy was getting punched from pillar to post and all they could say was “back him up, right hand”.

Whyte can rough him and take him out with a legit left hook.
Its about the mind and confidence.

Wilder's best fight, the one where he actually showed some skills, was his first fight with Stiverne. After that fight he has made very little effort to improve or even use the skills that he has.

Wilder will never be a technically sound fighter but if he found a trainer right now that forced him to do basic things instead of waiting for 1 punch he would improve greatly. Good post by the way.

              Not a Wilder fan
But with all sincerity , the man is not very skilled
Hes got that equalizing power but as you saw in the last fight , it can be euthanized
Quite sad that he’s never upgraded his arsenal
Actually the fight night , I was telling people that he was having a hard time or didn’t know how to hold properly

                Good post
But had he not been so stubborn , he could of learnt a little more than just relying on his money shot
Mind you , I blame him and his team for not showing him or insisting for him to have plan b c & d

he hit Fury in the first fight with them because he was much more defensive minded, but now that Fury is Kronk style agressive. Wilder will never land his right hand again
Wilder landed that right hand clean 5 times in the first two rounds of the 2nd fight lol...Fury just took them all very well.

He's very skilled at landing his right hand. There's many power punchers who can never land their punches cleanly.

Ortiz twice...why people hate on the Ortiz wins makes no sense...Wilder KOing him proved to me he was the real deal...Ortiz is likely a top 5 HW.

Wilder also has a draw with Fury and KD him twice.

Wilder has also finished every other opponent he has had...Whtye needs 12 rounds in uninspiring fashion to beat other average HWs.

If Wilder KOed Whyte, what would you say?
