Hearn: "Andy Ruiz would terrorize Deontay Wilder."

Eddie Hearn says that the only fighter to beat Joshua would terrorize Wilder.

Hearn calls Wilder's costume excuse one of the worst excuses in boxing history. He also says that the only fighter of note that Wilder has beat is Luis Ortiz, who doesn't have any notable wins either.

    Hearn is 100% right.

Wilder got ridiculous hype because he was American. Insane that people actually thought he was the best in the division. Some folk need to give their heads a shake.

Ruiz would be a good fight. Exactly the style that Wilder doesn't want, but lack of movement and reach would give Wilder a good chance of getting his one trick off.

Everything else he's obviously correct about.

I can see him giving him trouble but i also can see him getting caught bad. That reach advantage could get ugly for Ruiz

Lmao. EVERY fighter that wilder fights gives him trouble. He's always down on the score card until he gets the KO.

Ruiz has a better chin than Wilder, it may hold out long enough for him to land a big shot.

Ruiz has no foot speed, which means he’d spend too much time in the dreaded in between zonewhere Wilder is dangerous. If the little fella could get off the canvas like he did against AJ then yeah, he could do it. Would be one crazy fight.

And I was listening to a podcast earlier that brought up how Oliver McCall claimed he was fake crying against Lennox. That he was going to open up unexpectedly in the next round. Ref spoiled the plan. Ha. That’s worse than anything Wilder has claimed but it’s still close.

I think Ruiz is likely too low volume to trouble Wilder but he has a heck of a chin and has very fast hands. Wilder also now knows he's not unbeatable and getting hurt badly by a guy he said who's punches hurt less than his 2 year old kid is not going to be great medicine for the confidence

It'd be interesting to see because its Wilders power vs what seems to be a very good chin. In an ideal world that would be the fight to make for those two now. The two top American HWs, both recent ex champs coming off losses. It would be a really good fight to gauge how good not only those two are but would also give some idea of how good Fury and Joshua are before they face each other.

Short reach, hooves for feet, and no head movement. Yes, I'm sure he can emulate Tyson Fury's gameplan.
