Heavyweight ATG top 3. Lewis, Fury, Klitschko

Don't come at me with Ali lol, how's he gonna deal with 6'9" slickness and inside fighting-ness.

The European super heavyweights are the kings of the ring.

Sorry but beating Bumsquad and juicing to beat an old Wlad doesn’t make you GOAT in my book.

Fury admits himself that the REAL Tyson- Iron Mike would have destroyed him if they had fought.

You left off the twelve ranked above them on the ATG lists.

Greatness is not about head to head fight.

head to head Fury ranks very high.

But all time I have for exemple Jack Johnson over him, despite the fact that I think Fury would have murked Johnson if we had a time machine to do an encounter.

Marciano ranks high too all time but head to head I don't think he can land suzy Q on the gypsy king.

Ali is the HW GOAT, there is NO DEBATE about it.

To match Ali, Fury would have to beat Josh twice, defend vs Whyte, Ruiz, retire,

come back 4 years later to get his title back beating Joy Joyce/Yoka/Dubois or whoever would have the lineal title then.
And I said "match", not rank higher.

If you're talking head to head I might actually agree. I think Bowe when he was on form could be thrown in there too though. Those guys had a combination of attributes that made them very tough to beat.

When it comes to resume etc its a different story though. Remember there was guys back in the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s etc that didnt remotely resemble modern HWs but within the context of their time they were beasts. Its not like the fight game was easier for them back then than it is for someone like Fury today. Its all relative.

H2H the only man capable of beating Fury is Lewis, imo.

              Lewis comes first to mind.

Then Vitali K, I don't know who wins that fight. Vitali K was a straight 6 ft 7 killer with high ring IQ.
I go with Fury because of his footwork and skills that are a bit better.

Ali at his best was so quick and skilled with deceptive power, he could trouble Fury, maybe beat him.
Fury struggled against light fast dudes, CUnnigham, WIlder 1 215 lbs.
Ali was short next to those guys but lightening quick with good power. And his rinq IQ, mind games, habilities to elaborate game plans was spot on. He had maybe the GOAT trainer.
              .

              Holyfield prime/Tyson 1
is a solid fight for Fury too. He would give Fury hell. Granit chin and will.

I would not sleep on guys like Holmes and Foreman.

              Then, that's pretty much it.

Others are too small or primitive in their boxing approach.

You will still have some idiots that will tell you that Dempsey or Patterson, beat Fury when in reality I don't know if they would beat Beterbiev lol Boxing evolved since.

              That's the way it is

You can't select ATGs based on potential from their ability.

Otherwise we stick Bowe much higher. ****, there must have been plenty who could have been great if they'd got their act together.

Ali was too small to beat Tyson. You can bring up Cunningham sure, but Fury is now a far superior boxer to that version of him, and Fury clearly wasn't physically ready for the first Wilder fight. (Fury still won)

I'm not crapping on Ali, i think he's the current GOAT.

Fury would've beaten Mike as well, no way Fury would've been scared of him. Whenever a world class HW stood up to Mike, they knocked him out, in fact the first man to stand up to Mike knocked him out.

In that Cunningham fight Fury was acting like an absoloute clown for 3 rounds showing Cunningham no respect. As soon as he saw Cunningham was actually there to fight he shut him down.
