Comments Thread For: Robles Likes Andy Ruiz's Chances Against Luis Ortiz

The heavyweight division is currently on fire with some of the recent fights like Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua vs. Andy Ruiz. There is a battle of unbeatens coming up in April, when rising heavyweights Daniel Dubois and Joe Joyce collide in the ring.

Luis Ortiz is old as dirt. The only guy who thought Ortiz was dangerous was Wilder.

And at the end of the day, look at what happened to Wilder once he decided to stepped it up.

And he won every round..... Until we see Ortiz vs a ranked guy we don't know.

Why i hope this fight gets made, we can get some clarity on both guys

Ortiz best win was a dominant victory over Bryant Jennings a while ago. In the interim, Jennings was dropped by Dimitrenko, stopped by Rivas and lost to Joyce.

That being said, I think it would be a good matchup between Ruiz and Ortiz. Not necessarily entertaining but interesting. Ortiz can box but doesn't always set a blazing pace. Ruiz is skilled but seems to prefer to counterpunch at times. I'd figure Ortiz to win early rounds and Ruiz to win later rounds and possibly win by stoppage or close points victory.

Nobody is taking "the fight", nobody wants to risk thier spot. Parker is fighting Shantel somebody or another, Whyte wants a shot, but not Ortiz, he already turned that down. Andy does have to come out of hiding.

Ortiz has no punch resistance at this point.
                    Ruiz by TKO 8/10 rounds.
